The restoration/modification of Daisy.

I got the blower motor and relay replaced today. I replaced the wire between the two with some 12ga left over from my Painless harness. I also fixed a trans fluid leak at the radiator, just a loose cooler line.

I really want to rearrange my intake, it touches the fan and misses the serpentine belt by an inch or so. It's right in the path on the drivers side fan also, so that plastic tube and mass airflow sensor are catching air right off the radiator. The filter off to the side but I still don't like it. I'd eventually like to run a snorkel which means it needs to go to the passenger side. If anyone has any suggestions I'm open to them.

Pardon the split loom spaghetti monster, I don't like the way all that turned out but I've got other things to do.

Saw your post in the other thread, fans sound to be working awesome. Did you get the A/C recharged yet?

No I haven't. I need to get it into the shop because I'd like to to go camping this weekend.

The fan setup kicks ass so far, they're quieter than the universal fans, they flow more air and with the way they're wired now the engine runs 15* cooler than it ever has. I've always had them wired to kick both on at 210*, per the intstructions on BD Turnkey's website and the engine would hover around 200-210*. Now, with the small fan turning on at 202* and the big fan at 210* it's staying under 200* most of the time. There were a couple times I saw it hit 210* and turn the big fan on but it dropped quickly once that happened. That group we were with is a bunch of older folks and they like to take their time, which actually gave me a decent scenario to test the new fans in. The only times it creeped up to 210* is when we were barely moving. At one point I was beginning to think that I was the only one in high range. I didn't get many photos worth showing off but the GoPro ran all night so I'll see if any of that was usable.

We picked her up this morning. Good news and bad news. Good news is, nothing in the AC system was damaged so it held pressure and recharged just fine. Bad news is, my drivers side fan isn't coming on with the AC. The fan still works but it isn't coming on when the AC is turned on for some reason. They powered it up and with both running the head pressure is fine and she blows cold again. I'll figure it out tonight when I get home. We're trying to get out of town this weekend, looking for cooler weather.

Fans are fixed.
When I turn the AC on, the power to the compressor activates a relay that grounds the fans to kick them on, just like the ECM does. Ground the main fan relays and power goes to the fans. Simple. With both fans wired to the ecm's "fan high" wire, the ground wire from the AC could be tapped in to that wire to activate both fans at the same time. With one fan taken off of that circuit and connected to the ecm's "fan low" wire, it lost that ground signal from the AC. If I were to tee off the AC's ground wire to connect it to the fan that got moved to the low setting, I'd just be jumper wiring the fans back together. So I wired both of them to the low setting, they'll kick on at the same time, all the time, just like all my old fans. Except they will kick on at 202* now, rather than 210* like they used to. I feel like I should have had them set on the lower setting all along. I live in the desert, it's a heavy truck, it needs all the help it can get.
So everything is cool, literally. I even cleaned up a little bit of wiring on the drivers side inner fender where all the relays and stuff are located.

Looks like I'm going camping this weekend!

Drove her to Lowe's and back today, only about a 12min round trip but it sure is nice having AC again.

I added some eye bolts to the platform to better restrain all the camping junk. Then checked the weather and it's going to be cold windy and raining where we wanted to go. So we might just run a local trail instead.
