Today I installed some electric cutouts. I was going to do like @ktmoutfront did and just use a switch to activate them, but the ones I got are 3 wire, positive, ground, and signal. I'm not sure what kind of signal it needs, but it is power open and close so it's 2 different signals. I liked the form factor of this one better than the style that have the 3 bolt flange. It just welds inline.
This will also make it easy to pull them out and cap off the exhaust if they fail.
The big Magnaflow mufflers I installed are pretty impressive. They're "straight through" but they split into 2 2.5" perforated pipes internally and merge back for the exit. The small ones in this picture are before the dumps, the big ones are after.
Driving it around you can decide whether you want to hear the blower whine or the exhaust, but you can't hear both at the same time
