Wishing you the best of luck!
I can not click the "like" button for this post.I honestly thought I had almost 48" between the tubes, when we slid the toolbox in I initially thought it wasn't going to fit, but it does.
In other news, I drained the catch can on the motorhome. It had about 10 oz of oil after 250 miles of driving. That's pretty excessive. I'm really not sure why it suddenly started blowing by so badly, my searches online are saying possible stuck oil rings, or a loose baffle on the oil breather port in the side of the block, or possible a HEUI high pressure oil leak causing atomization at high power levels. The engine runs and sounds great, so I don't think it's a broken piston or ring, but now I'm looking at losing about 1qt per 800 miles when I'm getting ready for 4000 miles of driving.
I'm going to do an oil change and add some HotShot's Stiction Eliminator before we leave and keep an eye on how much oil is blowing by. I'll also stop manually shifting on hill climbs to keep the RPMs down, I generally pull hills right below redline to keep the fan going full speed to help keep the engine cool. There's so many things that can go wrong on this trip, it's pretty stressful prepping for it.

I think you commented a few times back when it was on nitrous, but you haven't been in this thread for a while.
I didn't take a picture until this morning, but all the bars around my head have SFI rated padding per the NHRA rules.
