The Story Of A Cummins Suburban (Lots Of Pics)

Ok, I think I have it figured out. I uploaded and edited the first post and I *think* is should work. What is really odd is that when I opened the post to edit it, all of the photobucket pictures show up in full Technicolor. That made it a bit confusing uploading other pics, but I think it is good now. Take a look and LMK if it works for you or not.

@mosesburb Uploaded or attached pics do not have any watermark. If you upload your pics to the media gallery you have unlimited storage and you can link them to other sites, you also have full control of who can view pics, albums etc. You can make your photos, private, members only, or everyone.
@CK5 Thanks for your help!!

The first post has pictures!!

Sorry you have to go through all of this crap.

First post looks like it should :waytogo:

Also, having the pics show up in the editor makes it easy to remember which ones go where.

Mine didn’t and it made it annoying trying to remeber which ones went where and my thread isn’t near as old or massive!

Thanks. About half of the first page should have pics now.

Well, today they don't?? Even logging into photobucket I get the same grey third party hosting warning when I try to open images. That site is such a clusterfork.

Mine don't show up today, so I understand your pain...

Thanks for the hard work.

Photobitch is so unpredictable it's ridiculous. Today, half of a post had pics show up and the other half were the grey squares of greed. WTF?!?

Ugh. Anyway, the first page should be solid pics with no remnants of photobitch left there now. It's kind of funny going back through all of this, looking at all of the stuff I did and changes I would make if I was doing it again. Nothing terribly huge or embarrassing yet, just changes in ideas/materials/methods, etc.

So after a long night of back and forth, page two and that monster page three should have pics again.
For anybody looking for a good photo hosting setup, the ck5 hosting program is great. So simple compared to photobitch. No bs uploading, no ads, VERY fast by comparison. My ONLY issue with the ck5 hosting is it renames the pics, so there is no reference to your original pic name like there was with photobitch. So long as you never have to cross reference the pics (like I am doing to get away from photobitch), you'll never have to deal with that. It is really a great program.

End the old year with a new pic??

How are you liking the M-55s?
Worth the price?
I still like them, well, everything except the price. BUT, that being said, I bought another set before we went to Canada this summer. The one odd thing about these tires is in the center tread block there is an area that is shallower than the outer tread blocks. This "siamesed" block may be for tread stability under heavy loads, but it results in a tire with less tread depth in the center than out at the edges. This is not a major issue, and I have read about people grooving out the area that was not cut out, thus making it like the outer blocks, but I didn't want to mess with it. They weren't shot, but with the difficulty getting these tires, I opted for new ones before our long international journey. I bought five this go-round so I can do five tire rotations and also have a tire of similar age should one have an issue and not be repairable.

I did a bunch of research again before buying these, checking to see what the cool kids are running and what other options are available. It seems the 16" wheel size is becoming a bit outdated and some of the new tires are not even available in any 16" diameters. This took a couple tires out of the running. A buddy of mine is running the Cooper ST Maxx tires, but he hasn't had them on long enough for me to form an opinion yet. I looked at the Goodyear Duratracs as they seemed to be the next best option for a small savings, but after reading several reviews talking about weak sidewalls, both in tire squirm and punctures, I decided against those as well. That is one thing I love about the M55's; they don't look like much, but the sidewalls are just ridiculously tough.

They’re some of the best heavy duty tires out there and you’re right about the price! I’m getting near time to replace the tears on my dually, and at 10,000 lbs daily weight, quality is definitely a concern... I’ve been running the Hankook RT03 on it. Extremely happy with tread wear and traction. Gone 90+ mph many times and haven’t blown one up yet! http://m.hankooktire.com/us/tire/passenger-cars/hankook-dynapro-mt-rt03.html

I've noticed the M55 isn't in made in the burb's size as well as the Jimmy. What rotten luck. I need to get rid of the ice skates on the 15th.

Yeah, I'm sure there is.. One cool thing is Photobucket seems to have mistakenly unlocked the photos in the thread, so check them out while you can. There is some neat stuff in here.

I've never been up that way but the coast is supposed to be cool and the area where they filmed Goonies if you were into that movie. My wife visited Mt. Hood a million yrs ago and said it was cool. One of these days we will road trip up that way with our boys to see it all.
