THE STUBBY project / R.I.P . . . . . . . . . . .

funny, my truck's the same color, and has a flat black hood plus will be getting flat black leaves on it... i love the colors...!

well got farther today. removed the rotted box / trailer hitch / gastank. then took air hammer and knocked off the loose scale rust on the frame to get a better look. not as bad as i figured it would be.

took some basic measurements and found that for what i want to do 125" - 130" w/b will be a good choice. should clear the tires to cab corners just fine.

next step will be 1-1.5" body lift kit and polly bushings. need to clear the tcase top of the 205 to the floor pan as the length of the 4l80-e/241 adaptor / 203 range box / ord doubler / 205 is a bit long.

well got the rear springs swaped to bds 4" 56" and 3" block to get close for now. along with diy4x shackles and also swaped in van 14ff axle along with top plate ubolt conversion.

then i got new energy suspension body bushings and custom made 1.25" body lift from 6061 aluminum. had a friend who made it for me at his machine shop. this got me the clearence i needed for the tcase setup.

this weekend will be 8" front springs and steering box brace kit and 2x4 box install and a few other parts if possible.

pics to come soon. just a update for now.

Good to hear there's progress. Don't forget Aug. 8th. Not too many fullsizes on these trails.

My buddy Jeff with the IH II, and Ryan with the Zuki, both leave for Raush Creek tomorrow. I don't have the spare gas money to get there.:( They are trailering their rigs.

My brother and a bunch of his friends left today for the Bloomsburg 4x4 fun fest. I'm missing alot this weekend.:(:(

Two weeks till my vacation though!

it is BIG now.

8" bds lift frt and 4" bds lift rear with block to level for now. custom made aluminum ( like ord ) body lift 1.25" lift.

riding on 38.5x15.50x16.5 ground hawg radials. and then 16.5x 12" wide rims.

67" to bottom of door glass from ground.

thats a 44 gal rubbermade trash can under the rocker and front bumper.

sunday move the rear suspension up 30-35" to make it short. and then more pics of it. but this time it will be outside with no lift blocking the full view.

wow looks real good, no need for sliders on that..lol

You'd be surprised. My '82 K30 3+3 has 8" of lift, but is on only 36x12.50x16.5's. The last time I went to Tuttle (rocks), I had to use a hammer to beat the rocker panels down with a hammer to get the passenger side doors closed.

Wow that looks awesome. I love the look ground hawg tires on these stlye trucks and I hope to get a crew cab someday.

thanks guys.

i got the 2wd box on and ord crossover and high steer on. then i got the back seat out and got the 4 buckets a little closer to bolt in status.

and yes rock sliders will be built as the rockers are shot.

no wheelbase mods today sorry. semi bad day and no extra help avalible.

well i plan on taking about 35" out of the frame this week or weekend depending on parts and energy level.

then i will see about making the tranny/tcase crossmember setup.
