THE STUBBY project / R.I.P . . . . . . . . . . .

will find out when i get there. and if need be i will fab up somthing or run a flip in the back for the drop needed.

well pics of 205 before tear down but steam washer.

and then full empty case ready to blast/prime/paint and reassemble.

and after full tear down its a low miles case and super clean inside . plus it still had the tag on the pto cover 3-xx-81 so its a 82 model case. nice to know if anything.

WOW, you're going alot further than I did. I hope I don't regret not tearing down my 205. Then again, I didn't build a doubler. I get lost INSIDE those things. I hope I never have to tear mine down. I know who to call if need be.

Looks cool, Brett. Bill and I gotta get down there and check out the progress. He's getting anxious for his "lift" too.

Talk to you later!

well the case and back housing no longer look like rusty cast iron.

just around 1hr time in the blast box. then taped off the areas i need to keep clean. next is my friend will epoxy prime them for me at his shop and then i will paint them . so hopfully by thursday night or friday i will have painted pics and then reassembly pics in order .

Looks kinda tedious, now you know why alot of my stuff is still covered in grime. Yours will look a lot nicer than mine. At least till you submerge it in my mud!!:haha::D

Now that I have access to a sand blaster cabinet at work, I've found that I am much more anal. :o

It was just too much work by hand or with a wire wheel before.

well case parts were primed and painted today. then tonight i went and painted them with that super special color.

next i am waiting on my parts from north west fab. then i will re assemble it all up.

Do you have a picture of the tag?
The early model 205s have the tag between the shift rails mounted with small screws.
The current 205 I have in my blazer didn't have a tag and there is no screw holes for a tag in the front. I thought it was strange it didn't have a tag.
I'm just curious, that all.

yep mine looks like that tag. and its basicly a build date and ser # tag.

the case i have has no round or square np 205 model bla bla like the older units.

got them to the shop today and pealed the tape and just waiting for my north west fab stuff to show then game on.
