:doah::doah::doah:

Had a great night, my body is dead, sore, beat and is ready to quit one for the night. I have spelt just four hours in the last three days, installed a transmission and parts in the rain, battled wrong parts, wrong sized parts..

The tesr drive consisted of a pricy mistake then followed by the upper links pulling out, rotating the diff, killing the driveshaf u joints, brake lines, and other parts..then battled to the end.. And showed up to the bogs with 20 or so of my friends and family and all three 4x4's.

We had a hard lane all night tht just got worse and worse and the buggy made a soup bow of it. Over all worth it, now how the hell do I get the buggy clean again:dunno::popcorn::doah:

I literally just almost died laughing at the last picture of the buggy.:eek1:

How did you get all of them out, was this out at ET?

Ya et motor park, and the buggy had so much mud on it it bottomed out the ori's in the rear..currently I have a few neighbor hood kids over helping out with the buggy..we shall see how the electronics fare.

Overall I am pretty darn happy, the artcarr gave me issues so I could not get it into first, then by the end of the night while loading I could only get it in reverse and park so I figure I roasted the cable.

Used three trucks and trailers and had one hell of a convoy when we pulled in :pimp:

Shouldn't you be sleeping?

Sleep? I run off of motivation and a well placed team of 500w flood lights:pimp:

Buggy is um..well cleaned. The roof was a nightmare, there was much several inches thick in way too many places, today was like a archeological dig more than a car wash. I figure this was a decent test, if nothing overheated with what I was doing last night..should be almost certain it is good to go. Bummer is we got carried away and took a lot of the paint off the chassis, If it buggs me after touch up may tear it down for powdercoat after the end of the season and changes made.

K5 is up on deck for pressure washing, a front hub popped and being it was open up front..no dice, but the boggers got it through the easy lane a few times in 2wd. I didn't even get to drive it I was so busy but I hear it was a blast from my friends that did take it through the pit:haha:

The truck.. Well the night installed it, Friday i think? It whined and didn't like reverse or overdrive but there it no way I broke the band and it's all new:dunno: it is giving a shift solinoid b electrical code and after some web wrenching it looks like it could be a big list of issues and possibilities above and beyond the solinoid itsself. Saturday the trans builder came over and said just run it till it blows and we will deal with it next week.

This is the same issue the last trans had. At one point in the night it worked. A bit better in reverse though. 1st gear-3rd kick ass. It lasted through the night but not sure where I am at with it.

Now, I'll spend a couple days cleaning and reorganizing my life. After tsking care of all my friends, food, fuel, parts, parts parts and more parts and labor my bank account, back, and social life need a week of no wrenching.:thumb:

Should have some great pics soon and hopefully some vids of the real badass truck that came.

And finally pics of some others you guys should enjoy, some of these guys are certainly serious about mud! I didn't get many pics myself so borrowing these, this is a small sample of what showed up.

This is my buddy Stella, frame is from a 80's mud truck and he put a new body on it last year. Big block with a rear chain drive case all the way in the back behind the rear axle.

These guys didn't make it through but were some of the many that were willing to try anyways. Modest trucks could get through the left lane and if you didn't have 42's or bigger and some luck the right lane denied you. Tractor tires for the win..

I always like this guys truck and when my body is trashed I'd consider some old iron on my frame if I didn't do a new gmc body.

Star of the show. With a conservative break in dyno tuned 1700 plus hp this thing made your ears bleed and it no joke hopped off the ground off the line :eek1: motor is built for 2200hp and this thing is no joke. My ears And body felt like they wanted to come apart and like I was at the funny car nationals again. He blew the rear axle "Dana 70" he has already picked up some rockwells since. Motor is new and I'm sure his drive train has some catching up to do.

was there any ricers out there with fartcan mufflers?

Well last night sure was interesting. I started off the afternoon by looking at the buggy shifter that was all bound up..well the exhaust roasted the artcarr cable. So onto Facebook and one of my local friends across town has a new shifter and I made it mine.

I get that project fixed but had to finally finish my exhaust to solve the issue. I had header wrap hear and a muffler. So I take off the y pipe, weld up the rest, make a mount add a hanger and she is nice and quiet again. Yay:pimp:

Now it's time to put the speakers and panel backing buty biddy is there and talks me into a test drive, so we lock in the hubs and go down to the river wash near my house. All goes well, give a lady friend a fun ride and it climbs anything I want.

Well then we decide to leave. On the way out there is small ditch that has become a trench from rain run off, nothing crazy but it's is a big tire swallowing crack with a few feet of hill to climb past it..I'll be damned. The buggy is climbing up and out then starts running like hell and dies. I think it's my fuel system is at a crazy angle and decide to pull to flat ground to figure it out.

Well buddies truck was 2wd and no can do and the yanking was getting crazy.

Tried the winch off the buggy.. No solid anchor and his truck just moved around.

Next up is the big white turd..we go back to my place and grab it, no granted it was missing over drive and reverse was a fond memory at this point.. We get it there an the front wheels drop in and then the son of a bitch had no forward movement. So now I had the buggy and the truck stuck in the same damn ditch.

Plan 3 now.. The truck had been leaking trans fluid while on the trailer ..well we had plenty on the buggy and truck so we grab the funnel and toss in a couple quarts and she drives out of the ditch ..yay.

Back to the buggy..hook up a chain and the buggy just didn't move. The truck is now facing down hill again and yet again won't freaking move under its own power..so it's stuck in place with a chain on the buggy and under tension. Fawwwk.

We painfully add more fluid with that damn wrong funnel for the job..truck moves.. This time I am agitated and running out of options and I yank a bit harder on the buggy. Um to hard Id say. And the buggy goes flying sideways and half way end over end before landing into a fence post.

Back to the truck.. So I go down the hill now to turn the truck around to pull the buggy over..but the trucks trans ****s on me again and it won't move. Wtf. Very intermitiant this issue was.

So we now take his 2wd back and I drop the trailer and grab the duramax..at this point the last trucks I have left at the house are the blazer, bronco ii and the duramax..I'm running out of options.

Duramax pull the buggy over, pulls the truck up the hill then I hop in and the trans is happy again, wtf?

We then after a few minutes of trying to fire it decide to pull thuggy back but the full hydro is a real treat. Honking it was low on gas we pull it to the station right by us..no dice and the steering made it a nightmare to get it through the parking lot.

We drop it off at the house, back in the d max and we hook up to the white turd, tow It back and in the middle of my street it was now dead. About to grab the blazer and force it in the back yard it started moving its self again, and I toss it back there.

Back to the trailer..while grabbing the trailer the single center jack over extends and it's teathering dangerous, twenty minutes later it's back together and in the back yard too.

Now..it's 1:10am.. I had plans Ith a friend to go dancing at 8pm.. I make it the by 1:30 lol

All this rambling and hilarity said.. It's 4:30 i just got home and I am supposed to leave in three hours to go wheeling. I need to load up, tear the fuel system apart "pre filter seems clogged" .

Truck officially pissed me off tonight, has. Few check engine codes related to electrical, the torque converter lock up, and the shift solinoid b electrical...guessing the harness or a plug is fubar.

Yay I love this stuff..
