Looks like it's going to be a busy weekend..
Seats came in, mounting is going to be fun, I may want them to tilt forward to maximize storage.
Rather than use standard corbaue seats, I chose to order the RXP they sell for the Yamaha side by side. It is a couple inches shorter under the legs, and in a flat flender.. That's a mile more of room. I got the head rest covers too to use the remote headrest pads that come on the razor. Hopefully eBay or a local race shop yields a set of I want them.
For seat belts.. For now I decided on eBay military h1 hummer 3 point retracting seats with the brake ball things. I wanted simplistic seat belts. I very well might go to 4 points but with my intended use I don't want to. I fought myself on this alot but that's the choice I made, originally was only going to have a lap belt for a vintage feel but I decided I like my face.
Made up a wiring diagram and got the material in. Using a combination of 14 to 18 Guage GXL made in the USA wire from wire barn. Ordered a pack with 10 colors in 25 foot leagnths
In addition to these 10 wires I am using some wire with tracer colors, and prewiring some future needs or wants like the electric lockers, trans fan and radiator fan wiring and such for the next drive train.
Fused 12 volt constant power is being handled with a blue sea custom piece with a cover that can organize and sort both power and if needed grounds.
Radio is a 4 channel amp to a switch for "on" music is controlled via blue tooth from a Millinia booth tooth modual that plugs into the amp rca.
Rear wiring and lights are going to use trailer wiring colors so I can use an inline 4 blade trailer plug with a male and female. This will allow me to plug in a harness at the grill to hook up to my truck for flat towing should I want to. "or if I break down and need a flat bar tow.."
Lastly the carb..
The stock Hitachi carb had a mess of wiring and soilinoids and a mile of vacuum lines. When they work they are seek me but I don't like the idea of a 700.00 complicated carb ruining my day down the line. My option was a Webber at 300 bucks, while powerful they are a headache on angles offroad.
My search lead me to a 71 to 74 Corolla carb for a 1.6 liter. It bolted on, was half the cost of a Webber and people seem to say they kick ass offroad... Winning! I may turn it around to help with the fuel bowl and climbing too. The neat part is with a small home made spacer I can even use the stock air cleaner. Should seriously clean up the engine bay. Fuel injection would have been ideal but it doesn't fit my time line to get this done and I don't intend to keep this motor anyways.
