bet on how much time until total, irreparable damage happens and another victim is sought after?

3 months, 17 days, 2 hours, and approximately 44 minutes. :D

I'm sure the 05 trembled in it's tracks when it saw the 07 for the first time and thought "what kind of demented f'er just bought me?"

You're like the creepy kid who has a collection of dolls with the heads chopped off and dismembered.......except you do it with trucks

Diesel or gasser(if gasser, 6.0 or 8.1?) I loved my (wife's) '05 and still regret trading it in. Had the 6.0 and NVG4500. It didn't even feel 6Klbs. behind it when towing. Mileage didn't change much either(dropped from 14.5/15 to 13.5) When towing that weight.

6.0 of course!

Love the motor.

The real cool part if I ever brake down while towing my 07 or my buggy I can just snag parts of what im towing and be back on my way lol

I do have some thoughts for a direction.. if I do build this I don't want it to be just another run of the mill truck, if thats the case Id rather leave it stock.

1) 4 linked/or trailing arm air bagged rear suspension.. stock front

2) 4 linked or trailing arm air bagged rear and radius arm air bagged front, ride hight around 4 inches and 35's

3) 4 linked rear, custom dually short bed, 19.5 wheels, stock front hight

4) 4 linked rear, custom dually short bed, 19.5 wheels, super singles, solid axle radius front on air bags.. hight around 6 inches.

If I do lift the next one I would love to convert to a dually, right now my mind is more set on stock hight and just getting fancy with the rear suspension. Truck is a blank canvas, can wait to pick up the paint brush:thumb:

I don't know about you. First you said you rather leave it stock, but you already making plans for modifications.
And, it was not even in your list of "options".

i agree with JD. its a good looking truck as it is but if you do decide to modify it all you should convert it to a dually for towing reasons.

getting all side tracked, im afraid to start a new thread for it, so ill just consider it the new tow rig and work truck.

Anyways, here is some pics from last week before the trans died in the 07, had to run to rio verde to do some work so I had Tara come with me and we did some wheeling for a little bit and exploring . More or less just had some fun blasting down the wash at speed and a couple jumps. It was 114 degrees and a week day so I didn't have to worry as much about people coming around and catching us off guard:crazy: Being it was hot and we were alone I elected to play it safe and not to try anything too technical.

If I was you I wouldn't bother converting to a dually, especially with a 6.0 under the hood. A single wheel truck tows fine and I doubt you'll ever load it so much you'll need the extra tire. Besides the duallys use the larger AAM axle and are a different width than the 14BFF you have now. Mine has stock suspension and I've hauled some pretty heavy stuff with no problems. Most of how a truck tows is how your trailer is set up anyway. My advice is to leave the truck alone for now and figure out what your trailer situation will be, then go back and modify the truck to make it handle your trailer better. Besides, it can't really be a towrig without a trailer to tow, it will just be another project truck

You are forbidden from modding the 05 until the 07 and buggy are done - and by done I don't mean that what is left of them can be swept up into a dust pan. :D
