the day you bought it...if you dont count before it was lifted it towed plenty..
the thread title represents what it was origionaly bought for.. a tow rig and a work truck..guess that plan went out the window at some point..![]()

You're like the creepy kid who has a collection of dolls with the heads chopped off and dismembered.......except you do it with trucks
That's possible sig material right there.new tow rig is here
05 3/4 ton extended cab short bed 4x4..
place your bets
Diesel or gasser(if gasser, 6.0 or 8.1?) I loved my (wife's) '05 and still regret trading it in. Had the 6.0 and NVG4500. It didn't even feel 6Klbs. behind it when towing. Mileage didn't change much either(dropped from 14.5/15 to 13.5) When towing that weight.
I do have some thoughts for a direction.. if I do build this I don't want it to be just another run of the mill truck, if thats the case Id rather leave it stock.
1) 4 linked/or trailing arm air bagged rear suspension.. stock front
2) 4 linked or trailing arm air bagged rear and radius arm air bagged front, ride hight around 4 inches and 35's
3) 4 linked rear, custom dually short bed, 19.5 wheels, stock front hight
4) 4 linked rear, custom dually short bed, 19.5 wheels, super singles, solid axle radius front on air bags.. hight around 6 inches.
Being it was hot and we were alone I elected to play it safe and not to try anything too technical.

Or we could just build this instead. Then you would have the 07 for "mild driving" and the 05 for when your'e serious
