Humbled at times by the talent of so many members on this site. May they keep us all amazed and provide the spark to carry on with our own projects.

Talents and skills - what I've learned these last few years is that if I can build enough of the latter, I can make up for a lack of the former. Also, rev levels are handy. I just stared at it for a half hour yesterday, making mental notes where to start back.

Happy Father’s Day to all you dads. Here are just a couple of photos of the new engine placement.

It’s 12” back from what would have been the original positioning. It’s not as deep as in Rev1, which is a good thing, and with the front suspension pushed forward a bit over 1”, the crank is just a hair behind that revised centerline. Only plugs 7 and 8 are under the cowl. With the modular Rev2 mounts, I can easily stab the powertrain as a unit.





The shifter sits just at my knee, which is my preferred placement. It’s where it was in my old STI, and I really like the look and feel of a straight shifter.

Working with the same guy that did the artwork for the suburban, I’ve started the process to rollout some charger stuff, too.

Inspired by 50s and 60s race event posters, this is the general direction. The dates are what was stamped in my front fenders.

I would have suggested a Diet Coke can or Shinerbock bottle. Perhaps in the spirit of Thanksgiving you could use a turkey leg?

I’m shipping it to my friend’s shop, and we’ll fab a base for it there before bringing it home.

The year spent building the truck let me ruminate on the Charger.

The AC intake screen and ports get filled (vintage air doesn’t use them), which is a nice and easy way to get back into this sheet metal work.
