The Wonton

....
Wonder what would/could have bent a valve.?:dunno:
Ran good. And didn't appear to be beat on lol.
I didn’t see anything that indicated it was beat on either. Some slight scoring on the crank shaft bearings but nothing that my fingernail snagged. One of the cam lobes had a little bit of material that was missing off the top of the lobe so maybe that had something to do with it? Hard telling. You could see on the top of the piston where it had just barely knicked the corner of the valve indentation, but there was no other signs of damage

Jon mentioned to me yesterday evening that the oil pickup tube was spot welded to the oil pump. I don't think that was ever done at the factory? Possibly someone has been into it before or maybe the shortblock was replaced under warranty or something. We'll probably never know, lol.

I still have a sub box built to go behind the seat of that thing. Designed for 'Alpine R' slim line 10"s .

I'll throw it in the pile of van parts @USSkoval is going to pick up at my place some year if I ever make said pile lol.
If you want it anyway. It's only taking up space on a shelf, and I'll never put it in my crew.

(PS,... You should buy that one too, And just swap bodies:deal:. It's what I planned to do.
Sell the brand new Yokohama 40"s on real beadlocks to get 90% of your money back.:thumb:)

Seriously, it's a thought.
Frame is in amazing shape, most of the running gear has been gone through.
Throw some dually hubs on it and go lol.
