Re: things you\'d like to salp your truck\'s previous owner for...
Well I own a '90 Jimmy, an '88 and an '87 Blazer. The '90 didn't really have any problems with it other than the previous owner used it as a hunting truck and it had tobacco juice everywhere. The '88 was flooded in a recent hurricane, so I bought it for next to nothing. It had some problems. Other than being totally flooded, the last owner had broken a rear axleshaft and neglected to get all the pieces out, so it wore the ring and pinion out. The front brakes were locked up and the engine had a blown head-gasket. It did, however, supply me with an 8" lift, extended driveshafts, and 4.56's. All of which is now on the '90. The '87, however, I am not so lucky. It has every available factory accessory on it (roofrack, spoiler, bumperettes). It HAD aluminum running boards on it, but those were the first to disappear. The major problem, though, is it had an underhood fire. The last owner had a BRAND NEW ENGINE put in it, but the geniuses who installed it, hooked something up wrong and it caught on fire and melted every last wire on the main wiring harness. On top of that, it cooked the coolant reservoir, fan shroud, air cleaner, and the AC and heat unit. On the bright side, the engine only ran for 10 minutes before it caught on fire, so I have a new 350 waiting for wires. Also, it only has 79,000 miles on it! It will be on the road soon.
