Too Nice to Tear Up

12 years trying to daily drive a 1978 K5, while making it a great Moab rig.
Removed drop in rear locker, and installed a full Detroit locker, and diff cover protector. Drop in locker, started popping, after 8 years, and tried to kill me for 3 hours, driving back from Moab.20150912_134446.jpg

This is making progress REALLY fast compared to mine!
:rotfl:

It's cool for all of us to see the how it came to be what you built it into!

New front fenders, to get rid of the rust holes. LMC fenders suck. These things weigh about half of the originals. New chrome strips. Fenders cut to match front bumper.IMG_5617.JPG IMG_5670.JPG

Both fenders are now buckled in the same spot.Did I say LMC fenders suck!IMG_7474.JPG IMG_7475.JPG

Rigid Industries 2600 lumen lights, installed, without cutting the grille. Lights are wired through a relay, so they can be on anytime the low beams are Not on.IMG_5614.JPG IMG_5615.JPG

Rock lights added, after the dreaded TRIFe............Am I not supposed to mention this trip? Mostly for my brothers sake, who ran about 5 miles of that trail with a flashlight, helping me and many others, through the darkness.IMG_6075.JPG These lights come on with the dome lights, but can be turned on with a switch, without the dome lights.

Some pics, from that trip, that I'm not supposed to mention.......Circa BB 2012

This thing is cool. I wish I would've been smart enough to do a build like this back about 30 or so vehicles ago and just did a simple vehicle that worked and I could use the heck out of it for having fun.
