Truckasaurus. The rebirth and resurrection of a fallen legend

Got some serious intake air temps going on!! These are average temps. Not good for this time of year. This is pulling some substantial timing. Need to pull some cooler air and get the setup away from the rad. Just pulling hot air straight in.

I figured other could benefit from whats happening.

On a good note, there is more power to be had with cooler temps.

Yea I will be working on the intake. Not perfect right now.

Was able to get all the little things buttoned up on the truck that had been driving me crazy recently. Finally got rid of the jenky trans cooler that was bagging around under the truck and moved my hi lift jack out back to the gauntlet bumper.

Also picked up a $100 light bar from Amazon. I can't understand how they make these things so cheap. Guess I will have to see how long it lasts. But for $100 can't really beat it.

I wanted to hide the bar as I am not a big fan of having them up high. They just seem a little too much for my taste.

I was stoked to get it to fit behind the grill. It was quite a bit of work but worth it imo.

Im digging the light bar placement. Let me know how it works at night and turned on.

Got some trouble codes I got to chase down.

The light bar is great. For $100 it can't be beat and it lights up the night like day. I will work on getting some night shots.

Knock sensor will give performance problems and a maf issue could give your surging.

Its either the knock sensor of the harness for the sensors.

MAF, could be the sensor, wiring, the plug......

So the knock are new sensors installed with the motor. I didn't silicone them in as some have suggested.

The MAF? Not sure what to check there. I have had the surging for a long time. The codes are a new development. The throttle body is running through the v link could that have anything to do with it?

What software are you using? I have been using dash command. I need to learn about this data logging stuff, I would like to do mine and understand it or have some knowledge of what mine is doing.

Shouldn't. Never had an issue with one...... yet.

With the MAF I would say clear all the codes and see what returns. Could be a fluke thing. Did you have the battery disconnected when you did the pump? Any time key on and unplug anything?

I have cleared it once already and they came back. I will clean the MAF. It was behind the leaking ps cooler so it may have got some oil on it.

I am using dash command with the GM module. Just run the logs and record some driving.

Team 208 tuned my PCM and have been fantastically helpful. Way above and beyond what I expected of them lol.

What gm module are you talking about? Do you have a tutorial how to log and read it on the computer?

There is an add on module you can purchase that gives you extra PIDS. What OBD reader are you using?

Have you messed around with the app. There is so much it an do. Go into logs and add PIDS to the log and then just run it and record it.

I have purchased the gm pids but not a module that is external if that is what your talking about.

I have done some recording but not exactly sure what to do with it after recording.

Yea that is it. The GM module PIDS. I don't know what to do with it either but team 208 is helping me out. You should give them a call. They have been fantastic

Yes! I'm glad someone did this.. Now I know one will fit behind my grill. Way to go man.. Looks awesome

It does fit. I got the 50 inch curved. The straight might be a better fit.

The wiring is starting to wrap up. Running out of channels on the fuse panel. This American autowire Kit was a great investment. I was pretty intimidated by the wiring of the truck but it has come together beautifully and I have a strong strong understanding of my trucks electrical now.

Here is the fuse panel
