I always thought the s-shaped shifter for the 4 speed was funny.

Jeep YJs, used a track bar with leafs, I always took them offShort version, the red one is now yard driveable.
So, the license plates on the red truck [henceforth known as "Ketchup"] expired in 08.
The fuel smelled just as old.
I pulled the plugs and misted some Marvel oil Wednesday night. I threw a battery in yesterday and after making sure it would crank over changed the oil and filter. It fired off on starting fluid so things were looking good.
Today I rigged up a temporary fuel tank and electric pump and it started almost too fast. A quick check to make sure the transmission worked [it does] but as expected the carb was a leaker. I actually had another carb that I had forgotten about when I had Zoomad rebuild the one on the white truck [henceforth known as "Mayo"] so on it went.
Drive time......
Transfer case and hubs work great, has a small rear main leak {I'm betting that does not self fix} none of the gauges or the headlights work but wipers, radio and dome light do so all in all things are looking good.
2 questions for those still reading.
Amazon has about a half dozen cheepy HEI style distributors for 460s. Like $50 and $60 cheep, can these be any good?
Also what is up with having a track rod on the front suspension? Massive leafs really need more location help?
