As some of you know I am dying to go on the 4-Wheel & Off-Road Ultimate Adventure '09
Here is a list of last year’s requirements

Vehicle/Driver Requirements
There will be a tech inspection at check in. Your vehicle will be inspected for all of the following equipment and paperwork. You will not be allowed to join Ultimate Adventure if your vehicle fails this inspection.
¥ Vehicle must be street licensed and insured, and driver must have a valid driver's license, current registration, and current proof of insurance.
¥ Front and rear lockers (limited slips do not suffice)
¥ Must be self sufficient (bring your own spares, tools, jack, and trail food)
¥ Winch
¥ Rollbar (rollcage preferred)
¥ First-aid kit
¥ Seatbelts for all occupants, worn at all times
¥ Adequate tow-strap/winch attachment points front and rear
¥ Battery hold down
¥ 35-inch minimum tire size
¥ Working CB
¥ Fire extinguisher
¥ Tow strap

I would think you would need more skins. At least with driving on the road. Ultimate Adventure is the shiznit though. Much better than TTC in my opinion. It is great because they are not driven on the trailer , The actually run em to the parks. When my S10 is done I would like to try to get in. I don't think there will be many places it won't go.

this is my first attempt for skins with UA 09 in mind i would skin to the back tire like a truck cab and i should add som info on the truck to

Fwiw, I'd love to see you make it! I'd like to see more interesting stuff make the trip.

I just wanted to mention you may need removable mud flaps and front fender coverings. To keep johnny law happy in some states. perhaps a removable windsheild with wipers as well. 65MPH in a hail storm was one of the challenges a few years ago.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but that doesn't look street legal (turn signals etc). From what you posted, the vehicle needs to be street legal and not just towed to the site. I'd look into that and wire in some garbage to pass that inspection and go for it! Sweet looking rig btw. Get it done and go make us proud!

it needs that but that is not my fear it is driving that think in the street out of state and not being tossed in jail -- i will it is reg and insed right now but will never pass nj insp but -- some of the other states i dont know :doah: i could make some smap on fenders ? - that why i post this to CK5 :D

You can do it! Find out exactly what they require for THEIR inspection. As long as the vehicle is licensed and registered (and apparently insured) in another state, you don't have to worry about other state's requirements. It is basically a "you recogonize our stuff, we recognize yours" agreement between states in that regard. Kind of like marriage licenses, drivers licenses, etc. It just has to have the basics in terms of DOT stuff (turn signals, brake lights, seat belts, windshield, doors, fenders, etc) I *think*. What I am basically getting at is that to drive a vehicle in another state it just has to meet that state's safety requirements, not their smog requirements, etc.

It is definitely worth looking into and I hope you get in. That would kick a$$!!!!

That would be very cool to have a member go on the UA. Has anybody else that's a member gone on the UA (besides the Watsons)?

Good luck BTW and I'm subscribed in hopes you'll make it:waytogo:

I would say you need some type of removeable fenders on the front and rear. Like what they did on the ultimate taco a few years go. It was tapered in the rear and they had some removeable fenders in the back

You know what go for it!!!! Do what you have to to get that rig Streetable and turn in your application. Once and a lifetime opportunity in my Opinion. Hope to be there one day myself. Good Luck:wink1:

So that rig is street-licensable????? I should move

it is not but keep in mind ther are 3 things you need a
1 DL
2 ins
3 inspction -- it will never pass but in some of the states like nc ga you can getaway with murder -- look at the posion spider rig of cliften slay -- on the last rund it was buggys and steve w ran the k5 in 05?

here's a thought, what about getting your fellow ck5er's to bombard 4wheel with emails basically voting for you to be chosen? maybe set up a generic letter and have anyone willing sign and forward it to the mag?

Me too.:D

All I know is.....There's no way in hell my rig would survive all that road time!!!

see the moter has low hrs - may need valve and the trans is just rebuilt the axals are good what is left -- sp that was drand new in 2000 and just sat till 2005 and the ram added in 2006 and i geet selected i will buu new drive shafts front and back for spares and probly denabare knuckels to

How about getting in touch with the brethren who have participated. I am sure you have already thought of this and just didn't inform the masses though.:D

Ua 09

Good luck, it's been a fantasy of mine for awhile now, but I am years away from having a rig capable of that trip. We do ned a CK5er in a UA trip.
