want to see other than stock bumpers

PM DP90K5 (Daniel). He makes really nice bumpers/sliders, etc. He tucked my winch btwn my frame rails with a prerunner style bumper. I havent seen him chime in yet, but it would be worth shooting him a PM

Ok, I'll add to the DP_90K5 showcase. Here is the front bumper he buit me, it's bigger than his others because it will hold a Warn 8274.

Edit: I also have one of his rear bumpers with the tire carrier (for a 42") and sliders.

I really like the prerunner style bumpers but are there any companies that make a a heavy duty steel bumper that more mimiks the stock style bumpers? I would rather have the high clearance style ones but the local 5oh does not like the same things as i do I guess, so I need something a little tamer.

Reunel makes a more traditional winch bumper. I know a guy that had front and rear winch bumpers from them and they were BEEFY but they are very pricey too.

Here is an early shot of the bumper I built my brother for Christmas:xmas: Now it has a full on grill gaurd. He just got it powdercoated the other day, so look for a post this weekend with pictures of the finished product:cool1:

It tucks up nice and tight.

just a couple 3/8" and 1/4" brackets welded to a piece of 2x6x.188" tube, used some diamond plate  to cover the brackets and eventually hide/protect some underside lights that will be mounted to the back of the bumper

front is similar

Front bumper, same 6x2x.188" tube and some 2x2x.188" tube, more brackets and some reinforcements, some fender trimming. I put them under the fender so it's not a anchor/hook if I'm backing up but yet if I come down on something it hopefully wont rip the fender off; hopefully left some room for body flex.

does anyone have pictures of the brackets that bolt those new bumpers onto the frame or stock bumper brackets? I need some idea what im lookin at before i build some.

Here's djsblaze's front bumper - one of my favorites! It holds a Ramsey Patriot 15000 between the frame rails.

Here's my current front bumper. I built in a 2" receiver to quick mount my Ramsey Patriot 9500. I can move the winch to the back as well.

I like good approach angle!

Here's mine. Made it out of 4" channel. It's beefy as hell. It's not finished in this picture. I still need to add a 4" receiver and a couple D ring mounts. I originally made it to pass our lift laws (max 30" from ground to bumper in the rear). Now that I'm making this rig trail only I'll probably move the brackets up a bit for more clearence.

I made this rear one, well The actual bumper part was cut by 4x4iron(no way I can cut that straight without a plazma) then I welded it all up then I made the swing out part.

And the front is a modified KMA bumper, one of the early designs I got back in 99. I have added gussets and other supports from the original design. What they make now is alot different...

DP K95- do you have any close up pics of the way your bumper mounts to the frame? i need to make a bumper with a hitch receiver for a removable winch mount. thanks.

I cut an inch or two off the frame rails to get rid of the points (on my 87). Then cut some 3/8" plate to make a top plate and frame sides. Clamped them on the frame, tack welded, drilled, then pulled it off to completely weld it. Then I pushed the tube to the mounts, tacked them and pulled it off again and welded it.

Cut a hole in the tube with a drill, torch and grinder to slide in a reciever.

Bad thing is I can't use this bumper now! I'm moving my 52's up front on the new frame with new custom mounts and to use this bumper I would have grind these mounting brackets off to weld it to my new bumper, so I'll probley just make another one for the new frame!

New brackets

the new tube will weld to the front of these brackets to help really stiffen up the front spring mounts, I'll also have a DIAMOND PLATE belly pan on the front bumper with the new design

[Refering to the first 3 pictures]Are these all personally fabricated? or does someone sell these(or simular)??

I just ripped my bumper off in a mudding incident :D and i want one like that.

And if i cant buy one, andone have datails on how they made it? i got a mig and some time

Those 4wd metal works bumpers are exactly what i am looking for! Anyone got a link or know how to get a hold of them?
