That's factory. The piece tying the mounts together is the bracket that holds the fuel lines when running dual tank option.
I’m sure you can use either, I was just pointing out that you need K10 poly mounts for K10 frame brackets. In the pictures you can clearly see the height difference in the rear poly mount.

It makes no sense. You would think the rear member would be higher on the 4wd truck as they have a t case back there.

Before you go cutting that out, does @imiceman44 have anything?
81-91 trucks either C or K won't matter. Just use the same part number as I listed above from Energy Suspension.

To answer the question, I didn't want to hack that frame up any more then I needed to. I currently have a plan for it.

It would be cheaper than the one piece to ship, and I could make it a very good deal if it works for you.
It mounts to the small crossmember that holds the tank switch.
I do have a one piece on my 83 k20, not sure if that one is the same as a kid but I could check it out tomorrow morning on my way to work, it's at my storage, it's also on a cut frame that at this point has no future plans
I now have an 85 K10 Suburban for the front crossmember. I can include it with the rear cab crossmember for the $100 plus shipping.
