I did not use the spacer method. I have the Transdapt output shaft, so only the case length is different than the TH350.My '70 with a 700R4, 1 3/4" spacer to use a factory tailshaft, and a '72 NP205.

Yup.. that's how it is. Gotta pull the wheel end completely down to drop the carrier out. Then pull the ring gear to get the center pin out.Previous intrusion into the front diff, broke and attempted to remove cross pin bolt.View attachment 443645
I will get it out, this carrier is being replaced anyway.
This new to me, I don't remember the ring gear being in the way of the cross pin. I haven't been in a Chevy front d44 in a long long time.

Then just might work for me.No, that’s on my stock K10
It will clear. Then just might work for me.
I have the old pan, and had resigned myself to going back to it. Unless I chop up this pan and weld it up, which would be a long shot.
I will check my stashI measured yesterday and came up 29.5" full droop. The factory 72 shaft is supposed to 26 and 3/8ths collapsed.
208 and 203 shafts are the same, of that I am sure, can’t speak for a 205…so Wes if you have a 203 shaft, you basically have a 208 shaft.I have a couple stock front shafts. I think they are off of 208’s but maybe the same…
