Only mod here is 4 year old Halogen headlamps. No relay, yet.
The oncoming traffic wasn't full of non-dimming alien-abduction-level lighting. What most new cars run would have been ticketable then. For all I know, it's still illegal, just no longer enforced. How did we ever survive with such low light quality…
So far $400ish in fuelThe burb did great. Got to see some great sights too. Plus the ac on Saturday helped the kid take the edge off from being cooked in my truck. Thanks for that.Burb has done well, this not Blazer Bash 24 trip. Drove the 525 miles to Moab, 2 days worth onf trails, the biggest stairs, and drops to date. One shot for all the obstacles, I did have @ZooMad75 line to follow.
Only the cab steps were casualties. Will start planing some sliders with a step so entry and exit are easier.
Gotta work on my pinion angle, have an under power vibration that needs to be addressed. Think it time to ditch the shims, and adjust the perches.
Also appears my t case won't go into low range, (np205).
I was able to select it last tear during a test drive.
In St George visiting dad, be home this Friday, burb still has @400 miles to go.
Ps gas mileage is horribleSo far $400ish in fuel
It was pissed you were going back to hot hole! The trip from St George home was OK, ran 75-80 no issues, mostly down hill the whole way.
Outside of Mesquite NV the ac quit, wouldn't turn back on. I had it on normal low fan, thought maybe the evaporator froze. Stopped at next paved wide spot on I15, called Glendale NV. Opened the hood gave the compressor a nasty glare, banged on the relay center, and it started working. Worked the whole way home. Left it set at max and hi fan.
Two blocks from home, 25 mph in 3rd, truck got to 3/4 on the temp guage that has to be around 250° shut the ac off and temp dropped to half in the last two blocks. Wasn't even 100° ambient. Very odd, on the trails last weekend, I never got 1/2, mostly read 1/3rd.
Only thing I got us air flow.
Haven't looked at anything yet. Rad level was full before leaving St George.
Gotta love them ole A6 style compressors and clutches.nope the missing bolt is not effecting the clutch. This is a Four Seasons 58098 A6 style compressor. I looked to see if a clutch was available in case is just the clutch, doesn't seem like it is.
