Probably more of an extension to the “if I won lotto” conversation...

If you were gonna start another build, what would it be? What would you use it for?
Details and pictures are necessary for participation

finish the truck that got me on ck5 in the first place .

1977 k30 34k miles but i swapped on a new body as the original was so twisted from being used as a log skidder it didn't even have a good roof and the drivers door was m.i.a from being ripped off .

bbc 454 or 8.1 is the plan / 4l80-e and np205 . has 4.10 gear might leave them and or go 5.13 gear . 38" tires in the 15" width range for the fat look . i have 4 new 38x15.50x16" ground hawg II radial tires on white D-window rims and gm caps for a factory type look .
suspension is BDS 8" front leafs and 4" 56" and ord flip kit . in this pic its got 6" leafs and 3" body . i will be dropping to a 1-1.5" body lift .
also have a old members ( hasn't been on in years ) track bar & HD engine crossmember kit for it .
i have a blazer 31 gal tank for the swap in the back . gm power mirrors and door glass . do a frenched in plate like this guy did .
in the first 2 pics you can make out the GO-RHINO skid plate for the 60 front i got like new years ago . be super cool to find a 14ff one or just make one to match .
what got me on this build was the blue truck in the mag on the cover .

she will be just a clean street cruiser with a look from the old days .

66 Fury is my next project. Zimmer and I spotted this car at a friend of Dean's (Max02) when we were there for Dean's 50th birthday bash last September. It's pretty solid, been indoors for quite a while from the look of it.

I want to build a Drag Week car. Getting a spot in Drag Week might be near impossible anymore...but I think you gotta have goals. Clearly not happening for 2019 as the registration is in February and the 400 spots sold out in minutes.

The "build" itself...I dunno. I have some ideas, but I think I want to build it Roadkill style and see where it goes. In other words get it running/driving/on the road in any way possible and then mod and improve from there. Possible scenarios are a stroker big block mopar, 3000 rpm stall with a 727, 3.55's. Tried and true and should be a low 12 second car. I've seen many slower cars at Drag week.

I like 'unlikely' cars. A "C" body Mopar fits that.

I’ve wanted a 66 Belvedere since I was a kid

I still have that same magazine.... Lol

Best part is these naturally will accept a marginally inappropriate amount of power

Even the 383 it comes with can be stroked to 496 cid, and stroker kits are IMO a bargain for all that you get. At least the ones from 440 source. A 600 hp 496 isn't a stretch and can be quite streetable. The Fury is a full sized car, but it isn't spectacularly heavy at ~3750 lbs. To put that in perspective a brand new Challenger is 4250 lbs.

Anyways, in a couple of weeks I'll pick it up and begin by removing all the cat hair from inside it. That is job 1.
