What do you guys think?

What year body? 94+
Definatly a cummings.
Definatly a 5 speed three pedal.

Dually? yes, actually a cab/chassis would be best.. but i will consider an SRW.... what cab is more important than dually..

Crew or extended cab? yes, #1 - 98+ quad #2 - extended #3 - single

Any mods (bumpers, chip, lift, tires)? as stock as possible is best..

Cost you want to spend and cost willing to ship? i'd be willing to spend $1000 to 1200 to ship... total funds will be between 6 and 7

Due date for when you want to buy by? technically may 1, but I could stretch it till the middle of the month easy enough..

Mileage acceptible? i'd REALLY like it under 250, under 2 even better

What if it already has a flatbed? flatbed is fine... cab/chassis with flatbed even better..

may have found one... may... right now it sounds too good to be true.. at first i thought it was a price misprint...

I can't find the ad right now but it's out on long island.. super clean red 5 spd...

here's the guys reply..... trying to set something up now...

" Hello and sorry for the late reply. hope i'm not too late and you didn't already purchased another truck.

For sale is my 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 pickup truck extended cab in immaculate condition with only 96,000 miles, rust free, no scratch (except few minor nicks if you look real close) and hasn't been involved in any accident. engine is a 5.9l inline 6 cylinder 12 valve cummins turbo diesel(oil has been changed every 3k miles) with a 5 speed manual transmission and a 4wd transfercase. Has power cloth interior, power windows, power locks, power steering, polished wheels with good toyo tires, am/fm/cd player, ice cold a/c, tilt steering column with leather wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, towing package, bed liner, step bars, 3 keys, all books and manuals, all heavy duty options, front dana 60 straight axle with 3.55 gears, rear spicer 70 axle with limited slip and 3.55 gears,etc.... this truck needs nothing and comes with a clean title.

I want this transaction to be smooth and i don't have much time at my disposal to waste my time with endless discussions. I believe $2,700.00 (not negotiable) is more than a fair price.

Thank you,
Lt. Michael Willson

If you need more pics just ask.
thanks. "

$2700? :eek1: heck, i see this kinda stuff listed on eghey for 8 to 10 g's... the truck looks damn good in the pics too... hopefully he's not some kook...

Doooooooood!!!! Hopefully that's legit. I'd make that happen in a heartbeat if I was anywhere near you!

hey, wait, wouldn't a 96 2500 NOT have a dana 60?

It will have a D60 front and a D80 rear if its still stock.

When a seller tells me they changed the oil every 3000 miles I always assume that means they never changed it. Something about the guys reply is suspicious, his english has that Nigerian scam artist taint to it. I could be wrong though.

nah, that was my thinking too... just a bit off.. also, who mispells there own last name... we'll see....

I'll cross my fingers for ya, it sounds sweet , but my gut says scam :doah:
I hope it's for real :waytogo:

It would be an 80 rear as opposed to a 70? ? I'm not doubting you :D I would have thought it would have a 70 :dunno:

yeah, if a 3500 is an 80 and 60, where's the drawback to the 2500....

I'll drive up there tomorrow if it's legit...

If its a stick its a D80. Doesn't matter 2500/3500.

Ahh, ok, didn't realize it was a manual trans thing. So the manual 12 valvers got the 80 and the higher hp pumps, did the 24's get the 80's with the stick also?

Hope it works out. I have talked to a few folks around here but havn't had a chance to really put the word out.

With your saving and no shipping you may be able to get your whole show done for what you where going to buy the truck for. Maybe a couple quarters left over for you to put towards the touch screen to huh?

Hi there,
The truck is at Malmstrom AFB, MT where i am currently stationed, until Feb 29, when I will be deployed to Afghanistan. This is why I must sell it before that. Shipping won't be a problem for me. I will take care of that, witht no costs on your end.
This is a large amount and I would like to conduct the deal using an authorized third party like eBay using their Purchase Protection Program, so this should eliminate any trust issues. They will keep a deposit until the purchase is final, and you test and accept the truck. If you will not get the truck as described, and also a clean title you will receive your money back.
To be able to use this program you need to qualify. I have been approved 3 years ago and I was very satisfied. So, if you are interested in buying my truck just let me know your name and shipping address.
I will forward them to eBay's protection program and wait for the approval.
Lt. Michael Willson"
