What do YOU have to do

Finish my LQ4 install
replace my power steering pump
finish dovetail
re-do the rear of the roll cage to accommodate the dove tail
new rear shock mounts
install hydro bump stops
put everything back together and take it on a good test run
fix the trailer brakes
install pump rub repair on the tow rig

Power steering pump is replaced
Dovetail is done
Roll Cage is done
Shock mounts are done
rear bumps are installed, front will wait until I after blazer bash

I'm hoping to finish up a large list of smaller items this weekend and take it out for a test run on the 27th. I have a grounding issue with the computer that I have to figure out, also it is not using the O2 sensors??? I also have to take it to emissions so I can re-new the registration before the end of the month....

As long as everything works like it's supposed to, I think I'm in good shape. If I have any problems though, I'm hosed :doah:.

I need to get the rear seats mounted too, but the bed is finished.

Somehow my list grew?!

- SYE + driveshafts are happening this weekend
- Hydro assist the following weekend
- Brakes the final weekend before I go (needs a new prop valve, master cylinder and an adjustable rear circuit to ease the discs back a bit...)

I guess I did get the bump stops done, LOL

Finished the new tie rod today. How does it end up 1-5/8" too long. Second build was good. Get the new accuator for the lights on Friday. Wire it up and I am ready.

LOL I seem to have some sort of mental block on building tie rods the right length. I do that all the time.

Fml...

I took the truck on a "shake down" run tonight with some girls:doah:

Tore a rear shock mount off while bombing through the sand after a nice rain, truck started to buck, then I lost my brakes.. then next turn the rear locked up!

Shock mount took out the hard like and ripped the e-brake cable up and somehow engaged it.

Soo little more to do:popcorn:

F my inability to drive a vehicle within it's capabilities...

I think I fixed it better!

Driveshafts and SYE are done, this weekend I'll get the hydro assist in and get rid of the ABS unit and put in the bigger disc/disc master cylinder. Should be ready to go at that point!

I think my rig is about 99% ready for the bash now. I need to finish up a couple minor things and I'm taking it out for a test run on Saturday morning.

Hopefully everything works as planned and nothing blows up. I've driven it on the street quite a bit so I know the transmission is good and everything else feels tight and the engine is definitely stronger than the old one.

It does need some tuning, it failed emissions as it isn't using the O2 sensors for some reason . I have a buddy that has EFI live and he's going to bring it over so we can see if it's a programming issue or wiring issue.

Either way, it's good enough for the bash, I'll just have to get a 30 day temp registration.

Aftermarket engine harness or cut down factory? If cut down factory I would say wiring.

You could get a Utah OHV sticker to avoid the 30 day temp deal in AZ if you wanted. I think their still $30 at a gas station.

Won't let you drive on the street legally but gets you legal for the trails with little hassle.

It's a modified factory wiring harness, but I still think it's a programming issue. I'm not positive, but hooking it up to EFI live and downloading the programming will answer that question.

The 30 day registration is cheaper than $30, and I plan on driving on the streets.

Very true

Also make sure the correct 02 sensors are being used for the program. I don't fully understand the different 02 sensors but I do know we have to have a specific one for our system to work.

Yes, there are 4 O2 sensors stock, 2 pre-cat (one each side) and 2 post cat. The post cat sensors are only used to verify the operation of the catalytic converters for the ODBII stuff.

I have had a good scanner hooked up and all 4 O2 sensors are reading the same thing which leads me to believe something isn't right. I'm also not getting any error codes related to the O2 sensors.
