What long strange trip it's been! Here we go more Q's no answers.

If they're just bald, what's the harm in using them to get it home? You were talking about swapping out the SRW axle, if that's what it turned out to be. :dunno:

Three mountain passes (Coal Bank 10,640 feet, Molas 10,910 feet, Red Mountain Pass 11,017 feet) lots of hair pin curves NoJeeps can tell you about my almost getting killed by another driver on the road when he was here. Thanks for good tires and God but I was shook up! 550 is NOT I-80 in the winter!

UPDATE: no pictures but the guy says it is a dual rear end also it looks like 60% chance they are gonna do the deal.

So I learned something new tonight. The front rims are different on a one ton Chevy from the rear rims, I will put the rear rims on the rear and front on the front. OH and we are under a winter storm warning from 05:00 hrs Wednesday to 05:00 hrs Friday with 15 to 30 inches of snow expected with high winds

:/ Oh joy I'll be the four wheel north bound creeper coming over the pass........
So I assume the outer mounting still on the rear (like it was the outer wheel still).

rims are the same on drw style . . . . whats the problem buddy ? ?
Inside of the outer rear wheel (the dirty one) the part that touches other rim. The other is the front rim.

o.k. I see it . . .

someone has done a mix/match at some point years ago .

the backspace is a tad bit different from 1 to the other .

someone had a bad rim and got another and swapped it in place . no real biggy . . . .

if it was all original 6 set they would be the same and swap any place no problems.

Who's to say all the rims came off a Chevy? Maybe they came off a Ford, Dodge, IH?.....And who knows if they had different offsets on their rims?

These rims were on the 89 (Yellow) V3500 the "front" was same as the spare the rh front rim was killed in my crash. It seems the outters (rear) may have come off a new chevy. Any way can't see the big mountain so we will be in fun I am sure.

Oh me tired!

Well the rear rims fit the front but not the rear of the white truck. The rims would not go either way on the rear. Placing it outer style there was a lip on the rear hub that it would no go over and trying it as an inner it would not go down. So we had to mount tires on to the rims that were on it. Then I find the rh aux tank was not working. Only the rh factory tank was working (yes ran out of gas) thank goodness I had jerry cans. Left at 09:00 got back at 20:00 snow and wind chain laws for commercial vehicles and traction laws for passenger.
Then I was tired and I left my camera in my friends truck. I'll try to take come cheap camera pics in day light.
