Whats your "wet dream drivetrain"....

I'll take a supercharged, intercooled LS7 and 3-speed transfer case (step up, 1:1 and step down) under a fiberglass-bodied, full-vert, caged K5 on 4-links and coilovers front and rear, unimog axles with air lockers. Something like 42" TSLs, which come with a lifetime warranty in my dream.

Nice Luke!

454 cubes of aluminum LSX huffed on would be sweet too...get outta my way.

ooh that's tricky. one tons with reid inner c's and knuckles, chromoly shafts, ctm joints, drive slugs. the 14ff with disk brake swap. both with 5.13's and detroits. built 700r4/4l80e with a lomax 205 slapped on the back, 1410 driveshafts. and a 502 ramjet or 5.9 cummins. all strapped to a single cab long bed frame with a 3+3 cab slapped on it and a tube bed with fuel cell and rear mounted radiator and batteries.

12V turned up, NV5600, atlas, and either mogs or pro-rock 60's (either way with 4 wheel steering and full hydro).

I would like to find a wrecked Duramax with the LBZ/ Allison and either shorten the frame for the k5 blazer to fit or put a 80's model crew cab on the frame with a shortbed and swap the IFS for dana 60. Would like to incorporate the newer interior to the older body though, dash, power seats, etc. would be my daily driver!!! I guess all it takes is a lotta time and even more money!!!

8.3 cummins, 7 speed Alison, in a double cab bobbed M925 with air locked 5 tons with front and rear steering all on set of the new rear beadlocked and runflat wide super single mrap wrecker wheels and tires they are around 20" wide maybe more.

What I have but with an aftermarket t-case for lower ratios. I'm pretty happy with my 350/700/208 though for what I do. Maybe a tbi or vortec swap but my Q-jet does a good job. 4.56 or 4.88s would be great too.

I would like to do a D-max/manual/242AMG in the crew cab, but that's just not going to happen. Well, the 242AMG might if I can find one, but I'm in no hurry.

I'd run a supercharged 6.0LS to a 4l80e with my 203/205 behind it but this time around, mount the 203 upside down and re-do the xmember for a flatbelly. Put RCV shafts in the front axle with Reid knuckles and Artec double shear steering with my current PSC hydro steer. Suspension would be coilovers all around with air bumps so I can jump this thing!

For a tow/camping rig, for some reason I think it would be cool to have a Detroit 6V71 Diesel under the hood. Add a trans with a bunch of gears and some big axles (Rockwells? Not just the top loader kind). Insulate the heck out of the rig. Of course, my tow/camping rig is the "off road" rig as well.

Practically speaking that's not the greatest idea. But I think it would be pretty cool.

EDIT:
Found driving instructions for the Detroit. I'm sure a few of you know these directions:

1) Check oil...Open hood, put gloves on and look under engine. if you see pools of oil. engine has been operating normal and its safe to start.
2) place cotten end of cigarette in each ear
3) start engine and set to high idle
4) remove gloves
5) wipe oil off you ears
6) get out of cab and place right hand in door frame
7) slam door on hand.
8) back in cab, accelarate in a harsh pissed off motion letting the engine and trans know whos boss.
9) remove lit cigarette and try and relax.
