Thanks. I picked up the rims and tires 32x10.5 for 200 bucks. Not too bad a deal. I have a xtra set of caps with the 4x4 logo on them for the front now so it won't have the lockout holes in them. Looks much better. I did torque the torsion rods in a extra inch to stop the rubbing on hard turns but looks much better than the stock aluminum ones ever did.

Update

Well I thought I'd give an update on the 'Hoe.

Since I posted up on here, I had a shop put in a street tune on it. I definitely say DO THIS TO ANY VEHICLE YOU OWN! Night and day difference. I now have more power, better mileage, and my transmission shifts like it should from the factory.

I also replaced the factory shocks with Bilstein 5100s.The fronts were shot and needed to be replaced but the rears I guess are some kind of load carrying shock to assist the coils. The Bilsteins will carry weight but not like the factory ones. Now the rear sits about an 1" lower. So at the current height it sits perfectly level front to rear. However anytime I put any weight in the rear I get the cali rake. I hate that, I'll be putting the factory load carrying shocks back in. There is nothing wrong with them, I only replaced them because I wanted the shocks to match front and rear.

I did have a few older vehicle related problems though. I had to replace 2 window regulators, wheels hub and rotor, still battling a leaky A/C system (the leak was never identified but its been holding refrigerant just fine for months now :dunno:), the battery, and the 4wd push button module. Every so often I get a code for a bad fuel pump relay upon start up. If I turn the key on and let the fuel pump prime the engine it doesn't have any problems. I have a spare relay in the glove box and a new fuel pump sitting in the garage.

Aside from the minor problems, its been a solid very reliable truck. I have no complaints other than its offroad performance. I took it out to my old stomping grounds over thanksgiving while visiting my parents. Basically its a sand pit with some side trails through the woods. It rained the day before then froze overnight so it formed a crust on top with the heavy wet sand underneath. I blame the slush box mostly. It doesn't allow the engine to get to high rpms where it needs to be to spin the meaty tires uphill in the heavy wet sand. My K10 back when it had a 305 and 3.08 gears used to make that hill its b!tch. It was still fun although I left with some carnage. I hit the rear passenger side running board. It still looks fine but it can't hold a person's weight anymore. :doah: Maybe time for rock sliders?

Anyway onto the pics:

Looks good. I want to know where this sand pit is next time you are down this way.

I liked mine! I gave it to a friend to drive over the winter. I'll get it back from him in the spring or when he buys another 4x4 for his wife... Been busy modding it while he has it though haha! ARB bumper is almost ready to be installed...

This was back in my hometown Franklin. Nothing crazy or impressive there.

Does your tune require 87 or higher octane?

Tuned for 87, although it gets better response and mileage with 89.

What kinda tune Glenn? Canned tune or what?

It was tuned by Slowhawk Performance in Bridgewater, MA. They did the dyno tune on the Camaro and I was so impressed I took the Tahoe to them that afternoon. They don't dyno trucks they street tune trucks by plugging in, driving, adjusting, driving, adjusting until its right on the money.

looks good from here im waiting on mine also they wont be as nice ass yours but what ever makes us happy is what counts :D:waytogo:

Has the mpg increase been measurable?

Around 1-2 mpgs. I didn't tune it for mileage, I did it for power, response, shift points, and speedo correction. I average about 15-17 mpg but then again I drive hard. I did peak 19 mpg on a highway trip once so the economy is there if I drive for it.

I lopped the running boards off the Tahoe yesterday. That was easier said than done because of the rear heat/AC lines run down the passenger side rocker panel right on top of the brackets :doah:
I think it looks great! I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. It makes the whole truck look taller:
