who is still running 6 lugs...on purpose?

Your limited by the bolt circle on the center hub I think, I dont believe you can get it down to rally center opening size.
It can be done, and has been done.
You need to machine the hub down to the right size, and yes a D60 and 14bff both have been done in 6 lug.

But I thought I read that taking it down to the center diameter of the rally was impossible due to the bolts.but most after market wheels weren't a problem.

what year burb had the 60 rear? early 72' and prior trucks had 60 rears. Not all had the Eaton.

A 60 in the rear isn't that tuff. 30 spline shafts
And 9.75" ring gear isn't very big when you add 40" tires on a 6000lb truck, well.....you know what happens. Bang!

It was 73+, pea green. I'd think a rear 60 would still have to be better than a 10/12 bolt. But same amount of effort to go 14ff.

But, we're on a 6 lug thread here...seems like the 6 lug 14sf is the only in between. Too bad there isn't an equivalent front axle in between a 44 and a 60

ARP

Moroso makes studs too but just have a black oxide coating whereas the ARPs have a healthy zinc coating.

Also the ARPs and Mororsos are a much higher quality metal than the Dorman studs. I have zero fear of ever breaking a stud, where the replacement Dormans frequently broke or stipped on me.

Also a set of ARP studs aren't crazy expensive, maybe just a few dollars.

I've ran a rear 60 in my truck for the last 4 years with 38's on beadlocks, I've broke one stock and one cheap alloy shaft. I've beat the living crap out of it, got a 70 waiting for it.

For my type and style of wheelin the 10bolts won't hold up open and I'm still running the bone stock 305 that won't die. :doah::haha:

Wonder how much it costs to have the axle flanges turned to match the hubs...

I am getting mine done at a friends shop, I will probably do the shafts myself on a grinder but the hubs I am doing on a CNC.
Shouldn't cost too much.

Cool. Are you still left a decent amount of meat to bolt it all up? Who did you buy your hubs from? Got any pics of your set up?

I got the hubs from extremeaxles.com. I took enough off the axle flanges just enought for my rims to slide off.....alot of test fitting...grinder to rim and back and forth several time....lol. I can get pics....

I went out and snapped a couple of pics.....
