I am not doing it for the rallyes, I am just trying to stay 6 lug 15" tiresRallys have a small center hole. They will need to be machined larger too. More $$
And lighter axles.
All my vehicles except my dually will be on 6 lug.

I was referring to cochev, as I know he doesn't want to throw alot of money at it.

well, i want too...but i can't. LOL!
just exploring all the options. cyberbuilding is free
yes, imedate goal is still moderate lift (enough for future crossover) 33-35s, 3.73s, hopefully rear locker, decent street maners
I guess to stay the cheapest is to get a 12 bolt if one pops up for under 100 bucks. fix what breaks on it, when and if it brakes and keep pickin at the rest
For your purpose a 12b would be fine, I even have a 12b limted slip 3.73 gears if you want, if you ever have any trips down my way or know anyone that does.
I sometimes get up to Shasta if you'd come down to meet.
all that money and work to keep rally wheels = not worth it

the 12 bolt aint much stronger than the 10 bolt man.i blew 3 of them with 35 inch tires.mostly driving on road and small trails.no crazy rock crawling.if you want to keep the 10 bolt i would upgrade the internals on what you got.chromoly axles will be a 25 percent increase in strength.i would change in stronger wheel bearings while in there as well.the ring gear and carrier would then be your week link.if you pur in a truetrac or detroit it makes it a lot stronger there as well.by that time you are into a axle that will be about as strong as the 14sf but cost way more than a junkyard axle.i got my 14ff for 125 bucks.checked bearings and internals and replaced what looked worn.with disk brakes and cady calipers for ebrake i got 500 bucks into a axle that will not break.it wasnt a hard choice after snapping my 12 bolt like a twig 3 times and only once was it on the trail.with a yukon r&p and axleshafts i think your 10 bolt could last pretty well.but you would have 500 into it with just that and if you cant set up gears add anether 500 to it.its a lot to think about when you aint got the coin to do what you want.my truck sat for 5 years as i gathered parts.nor for 35s its pretty much not gona break. If you were closer I'd jump all over that. We'll see how things go. I can't even call it a build yet. Lame.

haven't spent any money yet except for the d44 i found with flat tops and a trac lok.. the blazer is stock as all get out currently. for what i'm expecting out of the rig for the next few years i think i'll be justs fine 6 lug. if that changes, the choices are few and abvious.

I'm running 10b/12b combo. Locked front, spool rear, 3.42's right now on 33's and 2" lift. I've got alloy shafts front and rear and plan on going to 35/36's when my 33's wear out.
