I'm about to find iut6" springs, you need a new drive shaft most likely

As said before, it depends upon to company making the driveshaft. They will tell you where and how to take measurements. And when you do this, have the truck load as it normally would be since this will compress the springs and change the pinion angle (things like bumper, spare tire, half tank of gas, etc.).Is their a safe distance as to how far both ends should overlap?
