Wife's 67 Power Wagon Build -Cage complete!

I tried to convince her to let me do the wheels silver

I'm with her on this one... the look was much better before... function over form matters a lot on a trip though... may be a decent trade off.... but the look is definitely not as good. the wheels painted a different color may help some :dunno: the black isn't right IMHO

I thought if they matched the body it wouldn't be too much different than the aluminum Turbines.
She said "black will be easier to touch up when they get roughed up"

We will see if she has a change of heart.

I'd still be fine with this setup on the Suburban.
It may still happen...???

I was imagining the dish body color and at least a line on, or fully cage color rock rings.. May be too much also... I dunno...?

Fix the dent in the hood before you paint anything else :deal: :D

I think they look great. Test drive?

Find a slightly darker color silver that is easy to get in a rattle can or paint marker and go with that.... then its just as easy as the black to touch up

Bought the hood a week after we got back from Michigan.
The new hood goes on as soon as we are able to drive the trucks without all the salt on the roads.
That damage was complements of a pushing broken down Suburban off the interstate, in a construction zone, on our way back from The Dunes Party.

Good option

She may still want to do something like that.

The Cage color on the rims was a big NO from her.
Kelly didn't want it to look like the 80's 4x4 paint schemes that was so popular back in the day

White would have been my vote, but that probably goes without saying.

OH...I don't know about that. I bet you're still imagining hub caps on there some how:haha:.

I like the rims and the narrower tires by the way. Just a great truck over all:waytogo:

Rustoleum Hammered gray on the rock rings, leave the rims black. It should bring back some of that look she is looking for.

She saw your comment and was very happy.

Now that's the look I'd like to see....That would be an Awesome look on the Rings with the black behind.

I didn't realize there were all these updates.... now I'm late for work :doah:

These better be put to use in the states soon :thumb:

We want to attend both the Dunes and Rausch Creek, CK5 get together :D

Jess said you have some containers for us... we will pack light to make sure we have room.

took a break from the electrical on the Sub

Did the silver on the wheels as suggested.
Kelly Loves it!!
Mounted an over cab rack and installed the FoxWing awning.
Closed up it doesn't take up much space.
