Wife's 67 Power Wagon Build -Cage complete!

Finally had a chance to go through this build.

Hats off to the lady and yourself, Sir.

Great fab work and attention to detail throughout the entire build. :pimp:

Hopefully I can get some time to finish the burb build here soon, too. Both are awesome rigs. :waytogo:

Thanks NorCal69

I'm lucky to have a little woman who really enjoys every aspect of this stuff.

I'd be interested in seeing your thread----Post soon..??

We found some unexpected stuff to deal with.

While doing the OX locker install we noticed a steady drip from the front seal.

At the same time saw the harmonic balancer was starting to come apart:eek1:

Also have never been happy with the power steering mount or lack of travel for belt adjustment.

Packages from Summit Racing are like Christmas!!:D

Gotta do the pan gasket while we are at it!

New gasket to make sure there is no oil leak contamination for the new clutch!:D

Another weekend wrenching in the garage with the little woman....:woot:

Getting parts is fun!:D My wife wont even check the oil in her car little a lone go and work in the shop with me. She does love to go wheeling!:waytogo: Good liquid courage mixer also!Lol:rolleyes:

My wife is only concerned about the PW, doesn't pay much attention to the DD car.:doah:

She is all for mixin drinks and sharing stories around camp after a good day of wheeling!!

Blazer Bash has her pumped already...:woot:

Couple things done to make time for some cage work.

New balancer and seal in and complete.

Oil pan sealed up with new gaskets.

New power steering pump body (can style) with remote reservoir and internal filter, complete with an easily adjustable belt tensioner now.

Ox control lever in place and functioning well!

Picked up some necessary connectors for the upcoming cage work

Bought the PSC stuff from Off Road Design.

Belt tensioner from Summit.

Tube connectors from North shore Off Road.

Truck is mobile again and the cage work will be done at my shop rather than at home.
Will follow up with pics when we get to it shortly.

Thanks Mr Clean!

Can't wait to see this thing in person come July:thumb: looking good.

We are working like mad to keep up with the list of must do's and want to do's, on the trucks before we come and play in the sand...:D

The opportunity to hang with a bunch of CK5'ers is very motivational.

We also have a number of wheeling trips that we will be doing on this side of the border.

Thanks Mike!

Man, that is one cool looking dash.. :pimp:

One thing Kelly and I agreed on was minimal messing around with the all steel dash.
Then she got her stereo with the hide away screen and Nav., so we cut a hole to accommodate it.:eek1::doah::D

things are looking good John....and KELLY!

I like the fact that Kelly stayed Mopar....I love the old V-8's they used, many of my friends had them in road runners, superbees, and darts!
Stout machine, can't wait to see it in July!

Dealing with dodge stuff takes me back to when the PW was mine.
It's a bit more challenging at times than the GM stuff.

Definitely looking forward to the get together!!!!!!!
See you there.

The long weekend was a good opportunity to attack the cage!

Cage work begins on Kelly's rig.

The plan is to do the cab section 1st and then the structure in the box to support the rooftop tent, etc.

I don't rely on CAD for all my cage work, some still requires the "old school" layouts for reference.
