Wife's 67 Power Wagon Build -Cage complete!

Thanks for the info Dave!!

John check out Haggerty collector car ins
They will insure for an agreed on value and is much cheaper than conventional ins
I have 4 vehicles with them

I went on their site and it looks like there may be a few reasons why they wouldn't cover her truck.
I may need to call to confirm.

Suspension improvement

Finally decided to get rid of the old shackle due to the slight sag in the rear.

Added about 280lbs all said, so wanted a bit of forward rake.

Out with the old and fab up some new with 2" extra length from bolt centers

Been trying to talk the wife into putting one on the crewcab. No luck yet. Maybe if you make it out to Blazer Bash I can show her and convince her otherwise. :D

That sounds great!

wheel prep work for the Rock Rings

It's a shame to grind and weld on brand new rims.

Used a radius flap disk and it cleaned the surface quick and easy.
The disk has ceramic grit and can be very aggressive.

Had to plug the original valve stem holes.

Used a block of copper behind the hole when welding to minimize the buildup and grinding required.

The wheels need to protect the new rubber

Valve stem hole had to be filled because I didn't like the location.

New valve stem holes, 180 degrees apart on the flatter surface.
- 1 for the inner air beadlocks
- 1 for the Rapid Air Down Valves

The rubber being installed will be nice to try for the type of wheeling we do.
Lot's of highway to get to and from wheeling locations.
Radials should be a noticeable improvement.
