I am going to use as many parts off the old motor as I can. I want to paint match it. What type of paint would I get? Anything special other than a can of spray from sherwin williams or the like?

Engine paint is what you need for the heat. But it's all about the prep if you want it to last.

Brother will be here tomorrow with my motor:D Will take a few pics of it. I don't even know what year 350 it is so I have no clue what the hp is...Any year 350 will be okay to hookup to my trans right?

Yes, along with any 250, 292, 262, 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 400, 366T, 396, 402, 427, 427T, 454, or 502T.

I am sure I forgot a few others.

I dont think a 350 ever came factory with 350 hp unless it was like a fancy corvette motor or something :dunno:

Motor is at my Dad's house. Now all I have to do is try to make it over there tomorrow to get some good pics up for you guys. I also will get the numbers off of it and see what year it is

Went and snapped a few pics of the motor! Will need to look up what year and stuff is. Pics coming after homework:grin:
