WL: 1975 K5 (previously "Another new (to me) K5.")

So I could not find the title for this. Looked all over hell. So I called the DMV, and gave them the VIN. They gave me the name of the previous owner (his name and number were in my old phone, and it broke....). So I searched the guys name, and luckily he still has a land line telephone. Weird. Anyway, I called him and left a message on his answering machine. He called me back later that day and said he would get me a duplicate title when he got into town. I got lucky there.

Well, I found the title. Called the guy back and said not to bother getting a duplicate.

It was right where I asked my little brother to look and he said it wasn't.....

So for $62.10 I now have it plated and titled in my name. Insurance is about $110 a year.

Antique and you are only allowed to drive it on holidays or parades here iirc

I have FARM TRUCK plates on it. I have those on everything except my party bus, which has MOBILE HOME plates.

Also, it was so much to tag it because I had to pay sales tax and pay for the new title.

Tenn 90 bucks i think it was, antique tag weekends and to and from shows, perfect for me but I drive the 74k5 around town weather permitting during the week and they dont bother me. They are more interested in the full convertable.

Oh I have FARM TRUCK plates. No restrictions other than pulling loads for commercial reasons.

Threw on some overpriced, ****ty Wild Country 33x12.50x15's on a set of OEM white spokes. Drove it home. Did burnout for John. Pics maybe later.

Crappy old Wild Country 33x12.50x15's on a set of 15x8" OEM white spokes I had blasted and painted. I need to get center caps for them.

Here is after I stopped, and let the smoke clear for a little bit.

Then I jumped out and took a couple.

Back left tire.

Then I went in the house and showered. Cleaned up and headed to the bar to go to work for the night. A couple hours after the burnout, I got a call that my house was on fire. So I took off and headed home. When I got there the volunteer fire department was already there and had it out. It was also not my house.

Apparently I should not have done the burnout. It must have got some grass smoldering, and it started a grass fire. Oops...............
