WL: 1990 K5 (California to Nebraska on 38" rubber. (WARNING: Lots of Pics))

The weather was beautiful here today, so I pulled this up to the milk bar. And took the front right wheel off. The outer wheel bearing was gone. Completely. One of my Allen head screws that hold the lockout on had rattled loose and fallen out. I should have taken pictures. The outer bearing was destroyed. The inner bearing looked brand new and still had clean grease in it. Ordered a new screw and bearings from Yukon. Should be here by the end of the week hopefully.

Couldn't find my Dana 60 spindle nut socket. Anyone know of a cheap source?

Oriellys! I got one there for about $10. If you need I can grab the part number. :D

I'm missing something here. What does the missing screw have to do with the destroyed bearing? :dunno:

My 14bff socket and Dana 60 sockets are different. Could I use a set of 14bff spindle nuts and use my 14bff socket?

Bought a crappy condition grille for $20 at the swap meet. Now it's beautiful again!

I got the front end back together.

Saw some 39.5x13.50x17" Radial Iroks for sale for $500 on Dodge wheels in Lincoln. Had a buddy go pick them up for me. Well I went to Lincoln last night with the wife in her Jeep. Swung over to my buddy's place this morning to try and load the tires up.

We found out that only three 39.5x13.50x17" tires will fit in the back of a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, even with the back seats folded down. There was however room for a single smaller tire yet.
