‘83 C10 4spd Scottsdale-Gone but not forgotten. New replacement loading...

Mild restoration build to use as a truck should be used.
Spent some time doing some little things today. Cleaned all the glass and greased the window tracks and regulator. Neither window would roll down, and they are fully operational now. Also vacuumed the floor and sprayed it down with the hose. They must have spilled something oily cause there’s like engine grease under the seat, so I’ll have to go back and actually scrub that off. I then wiped down the rest of the interior and door panels and fixed a couple small issues like the loose passenger arm rest. I wrapped it up with washing the door sill plates and reinstalling the rubber door seal at the bottom under the plates. The doors seal better now and don’t rattle as much.

This will all come back apart when I paint the foot well areas, but for now it’s much more appealing to the eye.

Next on the list is the gas tank.

It’s amazing what clean windows do for an old beater.

The sun was facing the wrong way, so you can’t see the interior as well, but it’s not so dusty and unapproachable now. The wife even approves.

(Yes that is tape and paper on my house. It’s currently getting new paint. Part of the “hey honey I brought a truck home” barter.)

The interior cleaned up nicely! Your wife would take off running from my 78's interior lol

I could scrounge up a bed to haul out to you this week if you want. I'm leaving for CO on Sunday and have an empty 20 foot trailer... although it would probably be easiest to grab a $500-700 parts truck that could roll on the trailer.

Got 6 of the 8 fuel tank bracket bolts off with out breaking or being seized. Then Mother Nature decided to urinate heavily on me. I’ll try to get the tank out after it rains, but not sure how long it’s supposed to last. For now it’s still mobile thanks to the can in the engine bay.

Staged for surgery.

That's sweet.

Anyone have a driver's fuel filler neck they want to part ways with? Looking at mine, I better not put it back in the truck in that condition.
