1939 Truggy tear down, NOW BUILD THREAD

I've had the same idea for years... just haven't had the time or place to make it happen yet. I'd love to see more pics as you start getting it together.

First I have to fix the Jimmy, so I can make the Syracuse Sand Dune season opener in Kansas on the 24th of this month.
 
Are those rear tires the new mud slicks I have been hearing about?:D I hear they work real well.:dunno:;)

I guess that is just a bad pic, everyone thinks those tires are bald. They have about 19/32" tread.

Cage was inside cab. truck now sits with bent frame and no axles.

If your not using the fenderswho gives a crap if it is old iron

Advise for your build re-inforce the front cab mounts on the 39 they like to bend
 
There is nothing stock on my truck. The cab will be ridged to the gusseted frame with the exo-cage attached. The fenders would be in the way of the articulation.
 
now the build starts

The rear plates are so big because the cab was split open by the original mounts. The floor has been welded, but I figure, why take a chance.
