1968 C10 DD, project "New Tricks"

I had a set of Moog ball joints wear out quickly in my '90. I found reviews and comments that showed similar results. But I hadn't kept the receipt, so I didn't have any chance on getting warranty replacements.
I have been told that they have an excellent warranty.

I thought Moog was the goto brand... I've never heard of any brand being better...:dunno: They're all I've ever used.

What others are out there that would be good?

With your truck I'd have a hard time not driving it like I stole it, so if you do the same it may account for some early wear lol :D:burnout:

I tend to but 2,800 miles? I don't think I'm that hard on it.
And because the joints came in a package kit from CPP, I wont find help with warranty. :( Oh well, $55 later and she drives great.
Last Thursday I took it out to the drags again. I only ran it down twice, mainly to scare the NOOB in the passenger seat, but after the freaking out and ear covering ended, she took it well. and took it well that night too :) I couldn't contain the power slide Gods commands to and from the track either. I'm sure she's never been sideways in a car before haha certainly was later though OOOOOO HAHAHAHAHA

So this poor truck is just parked under my canopy. I'm slowly filling the back with chit. :( Got spider webs all over the place.
I've noticed my camber is off on both sides, the tires are wearing on the outside more than the inside, evenly both sides. The new Griffin radiator has a leak about halfway, so eventually it only holds half capacity. I want to charge the AC but need to finish the electric fan override "ON" switch so I've got movement across the condenser while the AC is on. I also need to finish the duct work so the thing doesn't short cycle, sucking in cold air and shutting off prematurely. Before I do that, I need to install my new dash pad. Before I do that, I need to wire up my new stereo. Before I can drive it, or even tow my SeaDoo with it, I need to get the trans temps under control. So I've got a great big radiator for it, which barely fits between the AC condenser and coolant radiator. Plumbing is tough, I got some holes to drill in the core support.

I also got married. :doah:And I just put $5,000 down for my Mom's new Honda Accord. Buying her a new car with my Brother.

Any other money I have has gone to the Blazer in preparation for BB, hotel stay, and blazer transport rental truck/trailer. :doah::doah:

Make a list, start knocking those items off the list one by one as time permits.

Family I would say gets in the way more than anything. Not just z womenz. Lol. Single I built 5-6 cars. Once married 1/2. Kids came with even less time and money to spend. Now that they are grown up some it's a little easier. And they are starting to want to learn so that helps because can spend time with the kids while working on projects. Take one step at a time as money and time allows. Make a list of parts and prices and time to complete a project. It helps.

Your preaching to the choir buddy. Most of us understand how it goes...

Just my story. Not everyone has the same problems. With two wives and 4 kids between them it's definitely been tough to work out a happy medium of truck and family. Took a few years to figure out. Choir out. Lol

Yeah, just been crazy busy.
Finally got around to replacing the radiator. Ditched the Griffin, for a 3rd time, and put a stock Spectre replacement in there. Since I liked the Windstar fan so much in the blazer, I threw one on the C10 as well. Fits focking PERFECT on the stock radiator. Couldn't be more made to fit if they made them to fit.

The end product isn't as clean as the Griffin set up, with the hoses both going to one side and all that pretty aluminum, but I'm sure this will last longer than the previous combo. On the plus side, the fans are so much quieter than the old straight blades that Griffin includes. I put an inline 1/8" NPT nipple adapter in the upper radiator hose for the steam port. Went smoothly since I already had the rest plumbed in.

If you saw my birthday present thread, you'll have read that I'm selling the truck. So unfortunately I'm doing all this work for nothing really. I just want to see it leave my possession in good working order. So yesterday I threw on the new front bumper, fit much better than the other one but I think the frame horns need to be tweaked some. I'm also going to install my dash pad, AC vents, duct work, and charge the AC with Freon. I guess that's my attempt at getting more money for the truck. It's all parts I already had anyway. Might even wire up the radio, maybe, might just take it out and save it.

I will put it on CList once I'm done with all that. In a couple weeks there is a huge automotive swap meet and car show that's local to me, might just put a "for sale" sign on it and roll with it. I'm dragging the wife with me for that one. She needs to understand the hobby more and she also needs to understand the pain of selling my truck.

I don't know man, I don't think you should sell it. I think you probably can manage to get a house without the money you will get back from this.

I think that you will regret selling it very soon after you buy a house.

How long will it be before your in a spot to even get another truck?
And then bring it up to the place that you have this at one now?
I am sure you don't want to to be one of those guys, that you always hear complaining about how they let this one or that one slip away.
