1968 c30 "Papa Smurf" prerunner build. links, beams, and turbo

this is a way cool build. When your ready to sell it I wanna be first in line.

How is your build not getting the press like the burb? I see that thing all over intagram. Your build is way cooler, links, beams, turbos, ls, etc.. plus it's a better looking body too. Instagram would eat that up. Does he not put that stuff out until it's done??
I think i know the reason why but not something i really want to get into. I'll just say the experience working with him hasnt been great. Which is very unfortunate.

That is not what I was expecting to hear, that's a huge bummer because trucks like this do not come along that often.. sorry dude. Let's hope he gets it done so you can move on from that.

Nate who is setting up the springs and tuning the shocks/bumps?

Neal is supposed to be mounting the front bumps and also building shock tabs for the front so all I have to do is bolt in coils and bypasses. As far as springs and tuning that will be up to me. I'm gonna be going with Ads shocks I think so I'll be working with them as well as far as the tuning goes.

Maybe we can have an ads guy out for dunefest next year as there will be atleast 2 guys running their stuff. Would be huge for them to break into the dune market out here. :pimp:

I'd be interested in some shock schooling as well!

Similar shot as above but cooler. Headed after work tomorrow to go pick it up. Steering is all done. Can't wait to get this thing back in my shop and crankin on it. Stopped by and checked it out yesterday for the first time in 4 months. And beefy is an understatment. This beam kit is Gnarles Barkley. 22"s of usable travel. 10" bump 12" droop.

sweet Nate, can't wait to see Papa Smurf come together!

I haven't seen good pictures of the ttb hangers. Did he beef the frame at all? I know from experience that the frame is not enough.

The one I did, I boxed the frame and tied the 2 hangers together with a cross member.

He only built the mounts. I am boxing the frame and tieing cage and a crossmember into them.
