1968 c30 "Papa Smurf" prerunner build. links, beams, and turbo

Well Papa Smurf is finally back home and in my shop. Had to spend a few minutes just starring at it. So pumped its back in my possession and I can start working on it again. Only gonna share a couple pics. Lighting sucks so I will take more tomorrow.

jeebus that really is a nice set up!
glad papa is back home!

Well here is the post that I'm assuming you guys have been waiting for!

Today we got a new dog as well. Her name is Zoe. She is an American bully, and she loves the shop!....although in this pic she doesn't look thrilled.

You have assumed correctly. We have been waiting for this post.

very cool stuff Nate!

Anyway you could make a video of it going from full stuff to full extension? I would love to see move......Oh and yes on the dually!!!!

So are you going to run some of the rollcage tubing into the frame mounts for the I-beams?

I drool over these pictures but those mounts, all that beating they will take, welded to a frame much like my c10, scares me.
I've been known to be paranoid though.
Loving the truck, wish you weren't so far away I'd love to get a side by side pic of our 68s. Maybe I'll get that long road trip I've always been wanting to do.

:D

Yes i have alot more beefing up to do on the mounts and the cage work. Frame is getting boxed and am going to tie cage and crossmember into the beam pivots.

And possibly my goal is head west for a west coast dune tour this timish' next year with it. So I'll be on your side of the country.
