1968 c30 "Papa Smurf" prerunner build. links, beams, and turbo

I know it would be a pain in the ass, but I think you need to remove the coilovers and park it in the street somewhere, on the bumps, or blocks or whatever, and take some poser shots of your urban prerunner race truck. Just to confuse the masses...

I’ve got my valving down for the whoops where I’m happy. Now to tweak them to soak up some better hits. Jumped this jump and a bigger one as well idk how many times this weekend. Didn’t feel a thing but still using all the travel to soak it up. Getting the truck dialed more every time it goes out now.

Saw the video's. You went up in all valving? Looks like you could use more rebound and more compression. I don't remember your truck doing the pogo last year when you landed.

Any front tire or fender damage off that landing?

No damage at all. Jumped that around 20 times that day. It’s what the truck is built to do.

Looks awesome! :waytogo:

I think he was referring to this picture, it appears like the fender might cut the tire on full stuff? Is there more clearance than it appears?

Need to do a better job bolt checking in my prep. Ran some really hard laps with a turbo 5.3 beamed explorer and a beamed ranger. Hardest laps of the season for sure. Probably 30 or so laps in I came over a hill chasing down the other two and in a sweeping right thru some whoops my upper link bolt back out. Squatted the truck side ways on the coil springs. Had a Jeep winch it back up and I put the bolt back in. Had to change a tire because my bump can hit the tire when it kicked the axle. I just bought some used mtrs I’m going to get mounted and swap out. Gonna work on doing a full prep this week and get it ready to go back out again next sat.
