1971 K10 Custom/10 Tons\LSX

Got the ford upper shock mounts mounted. 14” travel Bilstiens. I kept it at a pretty even 7” bump and 7” droop. Hopefully that works well. I have about 6” to my bump stop so I should be safe. Ordered new bumpstops also just to save the shocks.

Took the truck to Tuttle Creek ORV Park in Kansas this last weekend. Was pretty impressed with everything, the new front locker made a world of difference. Only got a few pictures and the day ended a little early. Had to pull a buddy’s F250 back to the parking lot. Got him there and then my powered steering pump let loose. Guess I did more damage than I thought. Was heading to return the core on my power steering pump and got a bad vibration. Driveshaft took a beating, dented and bent! What can I do to prevent this from happening again?
 
Dropped the driveshaft off to be completely re made. Gona have it made with a thicker 3” tube and 1350 yokes front and rear.

Also did order the B-52 kit from DIY4x. I think once i get the driveshaft back. I’m gona keep the truck together for a while. I miss driving it. There is a new project that will be taking up some time and space.

Ordered some parts for it so I guess I should make a thread for it also. All the frame is there and surprisingly most the floor. Have a big hub Dana 44 4:10 to throw under it. 4” lift springs. Picking up a 1150 AAM this week fro the rear. Ordered shackle flip, u bolts and and some other goodies. Also have some 37s left to get it rollling!
