1971 K10 Custom/10 Tons\LSX

@HINZ28 : "Hey are you thirsty?"

Truck: "No, I'm good."

HINZ28: "No way bro, you've been on the juice all day, you need some water."

Truck: "No, no, no, seriously, I'm good."

HINZ28: "Here you go, now drink!"

Haha truck actually ran ok for a few days after that. Was driving it home from power washer place when I noticed it fealt down on power. Put the pedal down and it made some new awful noises real quick

IMG_5617.JPG Put a little lipstick on the motor. Also attempted to mount the motor in last week. Only to find out the 5.3s LS sit to low for the factory crossmember. Dirty Dingo makes this nice bolt together crossmember for LSX swaps like this. Got that all bolted up and mounted. The motor is now sitting in place. I'll have more updates later today IMG_5616.JPGIMG_5532.JPG

Actually been working on this lately.
-Got the Schoenfeild LS longtube headers fitted.
-Harness ran
-All the -6an fuel line and pump ran to stock tank, using the regulator on the rail and returning to tank
-Replaced the body mounts. Was hoping to gain some clearance. The heads on this are damn close to the firewall

Been slow progress which is totally unlike my self. Sometime life gets in the way.....

Your valve covers changed colors.

Martin

Orange ones were from the other truck. Cut these original ones up when test fitting, had to clearance them a little. Started thinking they look cleaner not painted.

Been a solid driver all last week. Very pleased with the power and everything about it. Hopefully still get to do some actual wheeling before the end of year. Here’s a couple new pictures I took of the truck the other day.77D7265B-B9F8-4C1C-B98E-FEE2BF1070EC.jpegA51B7601-EB31-4094-B36C-1D1BF6FF536C.jpeg
