I already got a carb after seeing all the trouble people are having with EFI.
On the second motor.....No problems with factory injection on my 8.1
I have a 1406 that I would sell for $30, but if you already spent $$.
Not an Edelbrock carb fan anyway. @Justin V has a manifold, just waiting to see what he wants for it and if he'll deliver to Evans.

Yea, Dart makes a carb manifold replacement, and you also need to add a distributor doing that too, since stock its coil pack LS injection. But as stated above, its pretty expensive and IMO not worth it. After going through it all,, the swap really isnt that bad at all...even for someone who hasnt done an LS swap before (like me before the 8.1)
