1973 K10 : Chloe

1973 K10 offroad build
So, about to have a new roof installed on me house. Went outside to tell the mouthbreathing methheads that showed up to start the job to get fawking lost before something real bad happen to them.
I decided to do a little job that's been holding up progress. Got Mr. Winch installed. It was a wrasstle! Being as how the ends of the winch cannot be rotated to mount on vertical surfaces, and can only be mounted horizontally. I had to get creative. But, I got it done. I love my Abomb frame winch mount. But, it cannot be manipulated when frames are a little tweaked. It was no fun, making it all work together.

Too bad I can't seem to get them to fit inside the rim like they're supposed to.
I have so many bruises from trying to install these !@#$ing beadlocks, it looks like I was caned.

I have a set of Stauns. They were no fun to install. Are you having trouble with the bags?

Their tech support emailed me right back this morning. Basically told me that if all the parts are correct, I bounced part#'s, then "to have faith that the inner tube part of the beadlock will move into correct position once I start airing it up fully assembled."
So Yeah, the bags, which the inner tube resides in. Damn things just won't move inside the tire the way I thought they should.
I guess that means, I'm having a crisis of faith. I don't trust anything anyone tells me. Even after I've seen it myself, I'm still overly cautious.

1st pic, getting the beadlock ready to install. 2nd pic, done dealleo. Right front. So, both fronts are done now. Will try for another tomorrow evening. But, wifey is coming home from girls camp on Friday morning, so, gotta get everything spiffed up, including myself.
Had to give the right front fender the business, with a 2lb sledge, to get the tire mounted.
Sawzall, on the weekend...
