This mess has been a splinter in my minds eye for a very long time. I was very unsure how these parts were going to go together and function. Purple wire is for fuel level.

94.3 ohms full
2.7 ohms empty
I gotta go find my new fuel gauge see what it's range is. I may have to buy that little adjustable electronic box that let's you make almost any gauge, to almost any sending unit.

New replacement for the old brass style orifice tube. I've been waiting on this for a week. Didn't want to buy from oriellys.

What is the sending unit you have assembled? Are the fuel hoses threaded ends or push on with a clamp ?

Sending unit is the TBI unit for a silverado 454. It was for a 31 gallon tank, which is all that really mattered for that.
It uses a push on style with clamps. Not sure if thats going cause me grief or not. If it does, I'll obviously have to figure something out. Luckily, my tank will be mounted in the bed right behind the cab. Fairly accessible

As I remember, these 8.1liters, run at or above 70 PSI. So we'll see how well this clamp business works.

Battery is in. I spent the last 9.5 hours bolting the battery mount to the right front fender under the hood. What a PITA!
Finally got how I wanted it
The hood closes very close to the positive terminal. I'll need to get a rubber flap to fold over the terminal. Not a big deal though.
I'll be mounting the Second battery in the bed, next.to the fuel tank. Another day...

Amazon just dropped off a package containing these two battery terminal covers, made of soft rubber, specifically for the big 31 series batteries

I guess I'm getting a plug in power port too.
I guess I go looking for a good set of jumper cable clamps and 25 feet each, of red and black "0" guage battery cable, making my own booster cables.
