The more I look at your thread, the more I think about doing this with the 73 a few years in the future.
Just do a shortbed conversion then you will like it more as a 2wd.Actually my reservation about doing it is that I like driving the C10; easy to get in and out of and easy to load/unload the bed.

Then you would have to get different badges for the fenders. Who needs all that work? The more I look at your thread, the more I think about doing this with the 73 a few years in the future.

Yeah but you're 6' something and I'm 5' nothing much.the urge was present as soon as I bought it.
Keep it stockish on smaller tires. To me, the 35’s on a 4” lift is pretty easy getting in and out of.

I have thought it would be really cool to run a regular cab short bed with even less than 4" lift and 35's with the running gear from the crewcab: 454/4l80e/Magnum/tons w/ARBs. I could do 90% of the stuff I'm typically running for trails. Plus with A/C @6872xtc.

That is vertically challenged.Yeah but you're 6' something and I'm 5' nothing much.

But harder to tip over! Tall stuff falls farther! That is vertically challenged.![]()

I like builds that go from nothing to 300 boxes of parts
Yesterday I figured out the ORD front shackles are wrong, the leaf spring side has 1/2” holes but my new HD springs use 7/16”. Not sure if I can swap out the bushings or if I need to buy different shackles. The other end of the shackle is 9/16” for the FUSH.
