My car isn't a race car. I have dailyed it a time or 2 and the engine on the pump gas (the bottles tank has 114 octane in it). It is hotter than what some guys drive but Meh. Hell it only ran a 6.20 last time it was out and approx 1025hp should be way quicker even if it is a 3800lb full interior car. Needs about 2k in leaf springs and coil overs.
Oh and a wagon would be a every day driver to haul kids and such. I figured 500hp and 550ftlbs should be fine for everyday. I mean right now I drive a 8.1 with 340hp 510ftlbs or a K10 with only a 320hp 383, so my commute is fairly boring. I was hoping for a little fun. Now just to figure out if the parasitic losses of a 496 at 1200 is more than a 454 at 1500. I think i love rpms a bit to much to build a 496 for a streeter.
Not sure about a truck with a manual anyway, it is so heavy you can't have the gears be too low or you would have to slip the hell out of the clutch to get going then it would be deep for the street.
