Well, we're on post 109, and so far all i have done besides talk about what I WANT to do is pressure wash it, adjust the rockers, hook up the choke, and do new front calipers. So it's actually worse off than your thread at the moment! At least lots of fun stuff is happening to your stuff right now!
But i'll get there. I have worked 230hrs of overtime so far this year... So that cuts into my free time. I have also been trying my best to focus on some house work. The fireplace remodel should be done just in time for the 4th of july. Once thats done, and the 4th is over, i should be able to hit the crew pretty hard until Halloween at least.
My number one goal (and the reason i need to stay off CL) is to get it painted by christmas. I know it seems like a dumb goal to have since show dont go and chrome dont get ya home. I just feel like its the biggest challange to me and all the mechanical stuff is a cakewalk. The 4x4 swap and whatever i end up doing to the motor i have no real concern about. But i want to be proud of the truck as soon as possible and get the hard work out of the way.
Right now, the truck, while bueatiful in my eyes, is viewed as an eye sore to the general public. Not that i care a whole bunch what the general public thinks, but its not fun to know that everyone is thinking your rig is a **** box. I would ratrher folks in general just didnt think about it all. And thats what im trying to achieve with the paint.
So, to continue rambling since im on a roll, I wont be spending basically any money on the truck until after the 4th. Then, i'll be spending as much as possible on getting it painted by halloween hopefully, but at least by chirstmas. After that i have to work on the kitchen remodel in the house. That will probably last at least three months which puts me back towards april. At that point i will hope to get the 4x4 swap done before the 4th of july 2016, and then do something with the motor at some point after that.
Life can be funny how it dictates your time sometimes. And also how it mocks your attempt at a well laid plan...
